What Happened to Louie?

What happened to the new member called, Louie who, for a while there, was putting reactions, everywhere? He was all over the forum, posting reactions, but never actually wrote a word. Not one post.

However, he was managing to create a picture of his personality using reactions alone, like an image in negative space.

I'm not saying I'm a fan; I didn't love his reactions of amusement at the deaths of two people on a Mexican ship. But he was everywhere for a while and then he simply vanished. I searched; he's gone.

Did he get banned for inappropriate emoji use or failure to engage properly? What happened to Louie?

I know who you're writing about, and I have the same question. I was also able to guess his views on a variety of things by the way he applied his reactions. I was sad to see him gone, but I don't know the answer. [Some new members are removed when they are under the age restriction, so that was my first thought, since as you say, he never posted anything.]

Huh, strange. Interesting the way he managed to create a presence without saying a word. I thought maybe he was a bit anxious and so trying to warm up the room before entering.

I'm thinking bot. A real person wouldn't have posted laugh emojis when someone mentioned people dying... (more than once) or angry emojis every time the Menendez Bros were mentioned in a negative way. Just my opinion, but 'twas way strange. Second guess would be a very young kid, but I don't know how that would have been discovered.

He seemed to be a fan of the Teletubbies, whatever that was about… his profile

Oh! A bot! That didn't even cross my mind. I kind of hope he wasn't a bot. The mystery is more fun if he wasn't. But, I see that now that you point it out, how that's possible. A bot. Sheesh.

EDITED to add: That would make sense of some of his stranger reactions. Oh man, I wanted Louie to be real. Bots are ruining everything.

It was just a guess and my first thought... tried to figure out why someone wouldn't say anything at all and then start leaving inappropriate reactions. Could be very wrong, but haven't been able to figure out why anyone would do that.

Another thought just occurred that it probably could have been a former disgruntled member who'd been banned and was playing juvenile and trying to "get even." That one probably makes more sense than a bot... but who knows?

He's not a Bot... he didn't just give everybody likes.. he also gave expressions like shock or sadness... , he/she never said who they were, or introduced themselves or made even one post perhaps they just enjoyed reading the comments.. :D

There's no announcement when someone is banned, but we can usually figure out why. In the past two weeks, there were approximately six registered members who quickly vanished. Most were admittedly underage, and some seemed to be “looking for love.”

One person's avatar was an attractive older woman in a low-cut striped shirt who stated in her profile that she was seeking “the real thing” and encouraged anyone who felt they could be a fit to contact her. She didn't post in the forum; instead, she went to numerous men's profiles and said she wanted to converse and get to know them better, and she was gone in a couple of days.

People will try anything to see if they can get away with it. What better place to hunt for a Sugar Daddy or Sugar Mama than a forum packed with old folks? Maybe they'll get lucky!

Yes. That's what was so interesting about him. He created a picture of himself using just emojis.

Yeah, I've seen some of those members come and go quickly. But Louie had a different feel. It was a unique approach, just using emojis.

Yeah, it was the inappropriate reactions that got me too. Why do that if you're only trying to "warm up the room?"

This sounds familiar.

At first I had no clue about this "Louie" person but as I read the posts, I remembered him/her/it and that I was kind of annoyed with something they said...but otherwise have no real answer.

Okay, mystery solved. I've just had a PM from another member who told me that Louie was a former banned member. Their source for this is Matrix.

So that's that, then. It is finished.

EDITED to add: I had to run out to walk the dog so I didn't get a chance to write that it was fun, the Louie mystery, while it lasted. Thanks for playing everyone. :)

As someone who is gay, I read it differently. The Teletubbys have sometimes been associated with the LGBT community. This ridiculous nonsense was perpetuated by Jerry Falwell in the 90's. Louie Hugged or Loved many of my posts about my challenges or about my hubby and myself. I assumed he was a gay member who just wanted to test the waters before committing because It does get brutal sometimes when discussing topics like Pride.

Thanks for giving us the real answer @Medusa!
