What Happens If You Pull The Key OUT Of The Ignition While Driving?

I haven't had ignition keys in my last couple of vehicles. Just fobs. If I get locked out which at 70 years of age happens quite often I call OnStar on my cell phone give them my passcode then they unlock my door. In the past I know if you turn off the ignition your vehicle engine just cuts off and you coast. Merry XMAS all.

That's right. My first car had one key that opened the door, started the vehicle and opened the trunk then they made two keys which one opened the car door and started your car then another key for your trunk. Now you have fobs to open your door then you have to press that button on your dashboard. Not to mention that one time in ancient history vehicles had regular spare tires and a jack then came inflatable tires which I think they aptly called doughnuts now vehicles have no spare tire and some stupid tire inflation thing that never quite seems to inflate anything but your anger meter especially at night in the driving rain on the side of some dark road between life and death Florida.

When I was 8 or 9 years old and angry about something, I pulled the key out of Mom's car (1942 Plymouth). She was not pleased. But the engine quit, and we didn't go any further until I had my say. And then dad had his say when we got home.

You know some of them Youtubers always know how to raise serious cash with their cyber con jobs and now allowing ads to infest their whack job video tutorials. I saw it on Youtube so it must work. Lololol.

No more house keys either. Installed a keypad entry this year. One of many reasons was if we had a medical emergency, we could give the code on the phone. This is what a neighbour did.
