What has you excited these days?

My grandson, 5; two new kittens, 8 weeks old; and, my son. Love excites me; always was my motivator. When I had my own store I loved it like a person. That's excited in a good way.

In a bad way, the news is exciting, and becomes more so everyday.

You'll laugh... but I found a website that show Vintage photos of my town... I was sooo excited... I just love photography it's my actual passion..
That is so cool. I love photos from yesteryear, because it is the roots and heart and soul of what has now become the town you have come to know. It also gives you an insight into what life was like way back in the day.

exactly...and with that you can identify it more given that you recognise all the surroundings... to see my main street and other surrounding roads 200 years ago with all the Georgian dress.. ..and later Victorian dress.. the ancient businesses, the surnames of whom continue to this day is fantastic..

Knowing it'll soon be time to really put the heating on. The good old winter days will be round the corner soon, sitting in a warm lounge with the curtains drawn, lights on, fleece over lap.... snug as a bug in a rug.
Hopefully we'll get frost and snow this winter. Blue skies, sunshine and cold clean air. Oooh, can't wait! :giggle:

At the moment it's considered 'mild' - but feels damp and chilly in the house. :(

The Toronto Argos of the Canadian Football League are in their 150th season of play. Their record so far is 12 wins, one loss, with two more games to go in the regular season. The team was first organized in 1873, and they have competed every year since that date. The Argos will play in the Grey Cup in November, but the opposing team has yet to be decided, it may be the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Grey Cup is the championship trophy of the Canadian Football League, first awarded in 1909 so this is the 114th Grey Cup game. No NFL team has such a long history by any measurement. Go Argos. I am also a winter lover, it is my favorite season. I know many don't enjoy it. Of course, I live in a place that does not see much sNOw but we do have some bad ice storms.

I'm excited about food! It's the only thing I have left to get excited about! Oh...there is something else. I made a very nice, kind, caring platonic friend and we have been chatting since about April. He has helped me through some challenging times and vise versa. He is so sweet and sensitive. He lives in another state and doesn't drive. I don't know if we will ever get a change to meet but I'm happy with how things are now anyway. I haven't met a man this caring and kind in a long time. So, I'm excited about our friendship!

Meanwhile here in Toronto today the high temperature is just on the 30C mark. With the humidity it feels like 35 C outside. Not to worry, the Maples, Oaks, Elms , Alders and Birch are all starting to change their leaf colors, and up in Algonquin Provincial Park the colors are at their height right now.

When I owned a towing company back in the 80's, this time of year was when we started to get ready for the 6 month busy season, by buying new tire chains and booster batteries , and making sure the trucks were ready to go. In Canada its not a matter of "will it snow " but how much will it snow ? The town where I had my towing company measures the snow fall by the foot, not inches. It was common to see big farm tractors with 10 foot wide snow blowers clearing the town streets and parking lots at night. A main Ontario highway ran right past the town where I was located so we didn't have to go far to find cars that needed our services. JImB.

These days, I get excited when I think about the activities I am involved with at the senior center - social square dancing, watercolor workshop, guitar class, and card making. All these activities bring a smile to my face because I am sharing them with
other wonderful people.
I could get behind that sqaure dancing, great fun. Around here they do line dancing!!
