What have you bought recently?

I hope I like the bidet experience (have never in my life experienced it). I've been wanting one ever since the toilet paper shortage in 2020, but previously they seemed to require electricity to heat the water and dry the posterior, but now they sell some that are super cheap ($27) and only use the water pressure to work, and the people in reviews say the lack of heated water doesn't bother them.

I've never used one either so I eagerly await your review.
I thought I was the only person who had never experienced a bidet.

I know I couldn’t tolerate the cold water. Except for the middle of summer, the water from the faucets here is cold.

Once again DD made me go shopping with her. Sigh. She had gift cards from her birthday, one to Marshall's and one for a spendy department store where everything is always on sale (I'd say they'll be going out of business soon, never mind they've been around in the Southeast since forever).

Anyway, they're obviously trying to get rid of everything that even hints of winter and DD found a pair of short boots that cost her a whopping $20 after the markdown, a coupon, and a discount for whatever other weird reason. The original price was $89. She bought them because she knew if she didn't, come winter again (just a dream right now!) she'd wish she had.

And she found a picture frame to replace one with DGS's high school graduation portrait. Frame broke and she's been looking for a long time. As you know, not just any frame will do...

As long as we were there, I...um...er...sort of perused my favorite brand of t-shirt-knit pullover shirts like the ones I wear to work. I mean, yanno? We were already there. And those shirts were a measly $10 each. I got four in different colors and would have bought more, but the others had v-necks and short sleeves. Ugh. I don't like v-necks and have old arms so always get 3/4 or long sleeves.

So I spent but only $40 and change. I'd say mea culpa, but it wasn't my fault. I had to go to keep DD company.

ETA: BTW, by the time we were done, we were too tired to go to Marshall's.

A new waterproof swim bag... I got the green one

and a couple of new Sun hats

I ordered fabric from Etsy yesterday. I'm out of my mind. And another magnetic needle minder from the same seller. This will make 3, but with cats, they are a safety need.

Still waffling on ordering a small bookcase. I don't know why I waffle. I should just order a darn thing.

Hearing Aids, just ordered a rechargeable pair of Walmart's for $53. Paid more than that for the last order of batteries. Price for Costco pair was $1,400 before the rates were reduced nationwide.

Right ear device stopped working. Aids are normally guaranteed for 5 years, I got fairly good use out of the Costco brand for 7 years. Batteries no longer needed, so see if the cheaper pair are at least as good.

A two burner camp stove and a cylinder of propane. I hope we never have to use it. Whenever there has been a power outage we always had the RV. This is part of my emergency plan.

It didn’t bother me spending $60 for this. Then I went to another store and saw the cylinder for $1 less. Just about killed me. 😂

Decided to get rid of one of our cars, it was getting old and no real need for it anymore.
Did a trade in and got another used car.
Being a 2020, this one has a lot more features I'm still getting use to.

Our youngest wants our Minivan to haul his Kayak and bikes around, so I was told we couldn't trade in the Van.
( Tempted to add up all that he owes us and add it to the price! )

Sure Mom won't go for that, as he is still her 'baby', so he'll get it and I'll take the loss...:)

I got a whole set ..about 12 pieces last month..in red... I thought , now I live alone, I don't have to get colours that someone else thinks are suitable..I can please myself.. so red it was..:D

Today I've been looking for a new keyboard for my Mac.. I don't like Mac keyboards particularly.. altho' I'm using one now.. but the slow responses means that my words always come out with missing letters...so I want something compatible with Mac that's Wireless.. Quiet... and not going to cost me my right leg......can't find one tho'...

SIgh. A new shop vac. Didn't bring the old one when we moved to Florida. Tried not to bring stuff that I probably wouldn't use anymore (like lawn tools - yea!). But, last night the AC drain line clogged up and shut off the unit. Had to borrow one to clear it. So today I went to buy a new and smaller one. Apparently AC drains line getting gunked up is a Florida thing when there is a lot of rain.

Went with DD this morning to run some errands and go to the bank. Then she made me go to the garden centers. I hate when that happens :ROFLMAO:

Needless to say, some (okay, many) flowers followed me home. They didn't all get planted because it got too darned hot to keep working in the garden.

I still need five white begonias and two red sunpatiens. Need. Maybe DD will take me to the garden center after work tomorrow.

I bought a cordless automatic curler... which arrived today from temu... along with my new Gym/Swim bag...

You guys who are new to temu..I hope you're all remembering to claim money back on your purchases... I got £3.00 back on this curler.. and several other refunds from previous orders ( they give you the difference in price on anything you've bought which has gone down in price since you paid for it )... by the time I made my second order ( which is on it's way).. I had £13 to come off the new total... not to be sneezed at I'm sure you'll agree (y)

I still haven't tried it yet. Maybe this coming month.

I ordered a 20 oz. insulated coffee/travel mug/tumbler. Comes with a removable handle, 2 lids, 2 metal straws, a straw cleaner, cleaning brush (for the lids I think) and a storage bag. I got the glitter rose gold color in the photo because it was cheaper. It was $9.99, today it is $11.99? Possibly I should have tried Temu for it but I had reward points on Amazon and paid $0.00 for it. I want to be able to carry it with me when I go out, not necessarily with coffee all the time.

it does take a little getting used to Kat.. it's not hard to navigate, . but it does take longer to ship than Amazon et al.. typically a week here some people say they get theirs in 10 days. temu keep you updated at all stages in the process including your delivery date.. and if it's late.. they will give you £5..mine has never been late. The other thing is they ship everything in orange Bags tightly wrapped with tape.. no cardboard boxes like Amazon ..so when you open a parcel it's very important that you are really careful with the scissors or blade because your item are directly under the packaging..That's my tip for when you do eventually go shopping with them :D(y)

@hollydolly, I have browsed a little but still have not made an account. When I find something that calls to me I will give it a try. May have to ask you questions then about how to make sure you get credit for a new customer.
