I went shopping again in my pj's. Checked out the Amazon Memorial Day sale. Came away with some new kitchen shears, a twin size tri fold mattress and some feet masks.

The twin size foldable mattress will be used for the pups in the den. Big enough for all of them to take a nap. None of them seem crazy about their dog beds. I think someone on here was using a baby mattress for their large dog, so I was thinking along those lines.

I have never used the foot mask products. I suffer from dry feet and callus buildup. Looks like they do a good job of removing the dry skin. We shall see.

usual weekly groceries plus some gooey chocolate thingys and gooey cheeses - yes I know they are bad for me but wot the hell! I forewent the crisps this week! punnet of whole peeled baby beetroot - heavenly - I do hope they will have some up there! as I eat the chocolate the dog sits there drooling and I alway give in. Is chocolate bad for dogs?

I thought chocolate was poisonous to dogs. Unless, of course, you mean one of the chocolates specially made for dogs? I believe the main problem with chocolate is that it contains theobromine which a dog's system cannot process.

Oooo! I just remembered that a couple of weeks ago I ordered four gomphrena (globe amaranth) plants, and they're supposed to be shipped today. As they're live plants, they're coming via UPS or FedEx. Yippee! I'll probably have them tomorrow.

Um. See what I mean about all I ever buy is flowers? Geez, even online, it's flowers! LOL

My skorts and top arrived from JCP (post #9580) and they're even nicer in real life.

Buying a clothing brand and style I already own means I being pretty certain of the fit - and these are no exception. They fit perfectly and are exactly the length I wanted.
It's almost impossible to buy skorts here unless you're buying a sport one..for golf or tennis.. Very annoying....

Today I bought £82 worth of groceries etc.. and got £37 off in club card vouchers.. woohooo.. !!

I ''bought'' a manicure with Magenta polish..... then I bought a Black denim waistcoat.. ( vest to some of you )... and a pair of silver & red hoop earrings...

I might look into this one:
This is a game changer… I can't use artificial sweeteners because they give me migraines, erythritol makes my tummy sad, and I really don't care for the taste of stevia. I bought this on a whim at Walmart this week, and it is delicious! It is like a very thin honey and it doesn't take much to add sweetness. I just tried a small amount in Greek yogurt mixed with PB2, and it cut the bitterness of the yogurt for me! I will absolutely use it mixed with a little orange juice and vanilla to toss over a big fruit salad. It's just concentrated apple juice, but I'm not going to question the magic. I'm considering buying another to just carry around in my purse for when I eat out.
😆
If you're trying to avoid artificial sweeteners, this might be just the thing for you.

Yesterday we went to Costco and bought just a few food items, but primarily went to purchase 3" Clorox brand chlorine pool tablets because a 40 lb bucket was on sale for $139.99, $50 - $60 cheaper than everywhere else.

We stopped buying other brands after dealing with numerous broken tablets plus an inch of chlorine dust at the bottom of their tubs. In any case, off-brands aren't appreciably cheaper than $190/40 lbs.

@dilettante, I often use unsweetened applesauce, blended up berries or other blended fruits as a sweetener.
This product looks like shelf stable apple juice concentrate. Walmart sells frozen AJ concentrate for $1.33/12 oz, while this is $10.33/12 oz.

p.s. Who/where was the post that you quoted? I can't find it.

DD, DGD and I went to one of the garden centers after they picked me up from the "office."

Flowers and plants kept leaping into the cart 🛒 demanding that we take them home. Whose home? Mine, of course🏠

My checking account has been decluttered this time to the tune of a mere $75 and change 💸

I really think I need to be done now. What good is it if I have adult supervision when the adult doesn't supervise? LOL

I'm too tired, and it's too hot to play in the dirt today. Maybe tomorrow. Or Sunday. Or any day next week.

A new BBQ. Our old BBQ was one which was left here by the previous owner but all the burners were worn out and it was all rusted out. As soon as Home Depot had a good sale on them we purchased a 5 burner one for less than $300. Luckily it May, which is when we can put any type of garbage out to be picked up by the government for ‘free.’

It’s been 19 years since I put up the curtains in the bedroom. Ordered from BB&B. They were the only place I could find some wide enough, and even then it’s pushing it. They arrived today and I’m reconsidering the length I chose. They are more pricey when the prices for Can$ and shipping over the border are factored in.
