What have you bought recently?

A whole lots of produce from the Farmers Market. I’ll be busy this afternoon washing, sorting and eating. The cherries are so delicious right now. One of farmers isn’t selling this year. There’s a new one whose products I love. It’s potato season - yay. Got a quart basket of saskatoons. These are similar to blueberries, except nuttier. The season is very short. They’ll likely be finished by next week. I use them on my tossed salads.

I have been quite the shopper the past few days, which is very unlike me. Yesterday I went to TJ Maxx and bought new drinking glasses, pads for my antique dining room chairs, breakfast plates, and new towels. Then today I ordered 8 new tops from Chico’s online because they were having a big sale.

I know a single mom with three kids, so I asked her if she wanted all of my old stuff that I was getting rid of since I had bought new things and she does. I put them in my car and will deliver them to her in the next few days.

Today we got to buy the pleasure of dealing with our internet/tv/home phone provider again. Since we renewed and were given a quote, we’ve called twice to get the prices as quoted. Today was the 3rd call. He was adamant that the numbers weren’t right before and practically demanding that we must keep the long distance plan otherwise we won’t be able to call our friends in the US or overseas. We kept telling him we didn’t call anyone in these places and he kept insisting we‘d really need it. Good Grief. We still have the phone, just can’t use it for long distance. We don’t even use it. We need it to get the extra discounts.

The only calls we get on this are the scammers. It would almost seem like our phone company is encouraging this. I think I’ll turn the ringer off.

You & your hubby will love it! They're a lot of fun. I've got an older one that I've had for a couple years and use it for all kinds of low 'n slow cooks.

We’ve cooked chicken , sausage, pulled pork and ribs so far. We are using apple wood, and a Kirkland mixture of oak, apple, maple, cherry and hickory. It really tastes good. The smoker is Treager bought from Costco for $1,000. Your duck looks delicious. How old is your smoker.and what type of wood do you burn in it!

I inherited my Weber Rockey Mountain Smoker from the guy who used to live in this house. I think it's 8-10 years old. Fuel for mine is charcoal & I usually add some chunks of Hickory to burn on top the charcoal.
I do a lot of ribs on mine as well - so yummy!

I bought a new accounts book... I just can't get the hang of keeping online accounts so I still do them in a ledger...

...also 2 2 feet long USB strip lights

Another two weeks yet and our white corn (Silver Queen) will be in season, along with Sun Have yellow peaches. I will be loading up the SUV with these goodies for the next month.

We shop at an outside market that provides a mecca of goodies for sale. All fresh cut fruit and veggies. Living in Pennsylvania now, we can get Amish fruits and vegetables, along with their fresh baked goods.

Today I bought another compression support for my arm with the tendonitis...

Also a big pack of double ended marker pens...... and some Orajel mouthgel for mouth ulcers..

Are you currently using a cane or anything to help with your walking? If not, and you feel you'd be better off with something more helpful and would prevent you from falling, then yes. I'm pretty sure Medicare can help you with the cost of that...
Might want to run it buy your doctor, too.

Be careful with this! I looked at them and have a neighbor who has one, and they are over 2000.00 dollars. I wanted it cause it was easy for me, but it turns out it won't make the corners inside my apartment.

Wouldn't a walker help and be less expensive? If not, then go for it. You'll be safer anyway and that's the most important thing 🥰
