What have you bought recently?

@Jules Glove season is that long for me, too. I have to buy some more for the winter, otherwise I will freeze to death.

I did buy a packet of thin cotton gloves for next to nothing -- about 50 pairs, for like $10. They are for -- when I remember to do it -- putting Gold Bond lotion on my hands, topped by the gloves, for when I am sleeping at night. I also have to find the gloves.

I am hoping my hands won't look quite as over-used. People who are waited on hand and foot don't have these problems. I never could find that silver spoon that I was supposed to be born with. And I never could find the Queen from whom, as an alternative, my mother was supposed to have kidnapped me. And the lottery! It's a sunk cost for the $20 I spent on that over the years.

So Gold Bond is gonna make me look the part! Just wait and see! It's cheaper than a face lift or Botox.
see, people think that Royalty et al have lovely skin because they don't have to use their hands as tools as we mortals do... but it's not the case... the Queen for example always wore gloves to hide her old wrinkly hands...

Well, she dealt a lot with dogs and horses, and she was older than I am by quite a large margin, Ms. HD! Why, I do believe she was even older than you!

Money is tight, but my neck and shoulders have been so, so painful lately that I splashed out on a massage device.

I have a sedentary job, but I make sure to get up and move around, do a quick 10-minute workout, go walk on the treadmill (or outdoors in nicer weather). Still, my shoulders are knotted and painful. I hope this helps.

Try doing some shoulder rolls w/2lb weights. That really helps.

I bought a 3 in 1 Microwave/Bake/Airfry machine. I didn't do any research at all, I was flustered because my over-the-range microwave stopped working (with a burnt smell and loud popping sound) yesterday evening and I was afraid I'd have to wait until after Thanksgiving to get a replacement.

I do all my "cooking" using the microwave (don't even own a tea kettle), so I was frantic. Luckily Home Depot was open until 10 PM and so I drove in the dark for the first time in a long time, and managed to heave the heavy thing up on a table when I got it home. Microwaves are heavy!

It doesn't have any number keys, so I guess all my microwaving (and potentially baking and air-frying -- assuming I figure out how to do those functions) will have to be in combinations of 5 minutes, 1 minute, and/or 30 seconds (it has buttons for those).

There's a rather rude joke about a snow blower, but as children can access this site I will leave you work out what the joke might be.

My lady saw this delicate, hand-made broach at a Christmas market. The price put her off, which was very handy, now I have what my late mother-in-law termed, a stocking filler. It will be a surprise left on the Christmas tree.
