What have you bought recently?

Premier Protein banana flavored protein drinks with 30 grams of protein each. Very good and made me feel better. I went back on Amazon to get more and they raised the price significantly so I got Adkins protein drinks with 30 grams of protein at half the price of the other. I bought 2 packages of 12 each as I anticipate they will raise the price too.

My replacement pants, a size smaller arrived today. The good news was these were -25%. The Bay has quit carrying many of the styles and colours in this brand. Now that I now what fits, I’ll try ordering from a small, independent store, if I don’t have to pay shipping, because I don’t want to pay it for a $200 item.

Between Costco, Dollar Tree and Amazon, I've bought a lot of stuff lately. I also bought a pair of dark gray sweatpants, heavy duty clear shower curtain liner and Clorox toilet bowl sanitizer tablets from Amazon. I was very pleased with Costco's sale items this cycle. They had Nature Valley Sweet and Salty bars, Kirkland facial towelettes, Scoop Away litter, Yasso Greek yogurt bars, Palmolive dish detergent...all the things I needed. They also have Swiffer heavy duty dry cloths and Nestle's 40 count ice cream novelties on sale. My son can pick those up before the sale ends.

I spent more this month than I ever spent at Costco during one trip...just under $200, but my biggest expenditure was the new Samsung Galaxy phone I bought this weekend from the MetroPCS store.

Looking on both Amazon & Walmart for wife's vitamin supplements Walmart was $33+ & listed on Amazon (identical, same brand, same count) was $20. Ordered 2 from Amazon to make the $35 free shipping threshold. Will be here tomorrow the 22nd versus the 29th from Walmart. Saved just over $26. Comparison check worked.

I bought 2 knee support braces.. of one type ( they come in pairs).. and a separate Patella knee Brace...

Also got some paper Air fryer liners .. and also a pair of Blind spot mirrors for my wing mirrors on the car

Are the knees giving you trouble? I knew about your back but I did not realize you were also dealing with knee problems. I have had a hip replacement due to a bone issue but have not had trouble with the knees yet (knock on wood). I have discovered that I need more exercise so I am going to try to walk every other day to build up some stamina. I know you work a lot in the garden and walk quite a bit in the beautiful area where you live.

I am also looking into joining a place where I can swim, that is my preferred exercise. If I had never ending money I would love to have a pool in the backyard. My inlaws had one that I used every week during the season so I got a little spoiled.

yes I have osteoarthritis in my knees.. very painful tbh... they called it wear and tear 5 years ago after an MRI... well it's verry much more painful now... even resting my hand on the top of my knee as I'm sitting is painful..

Today , I posted some pics of me 10 years ago on the ''what do you all look like thread''... and I was looking at me in my nice summery clothes, looking at my legs in my lemon shorts, and sitting here thinking I had no idea what Pain was about to attack my body..between the back, the knees and the OA in my fingers.. not one of those thing was evident back then... 😭

Could have saved an additional $28.50+ buying them at CostCo, their brand Kirkland (200) this AM. $11.49 versus $39.98 at Amazon. Need to get out more!

Father, forgive me. I spent. And then I spent some more. In my defense, it wasn't real money; it was gift cards. Well...about $30 was real money because the gift cards didn't cover it all.

Wait! I have to say how many Hail Marys and put how much in the poor box?

And I did pay for a couple of (cheap) plants for DD.

I'm gonna be a busy old lady tomorrow!

Don't fret, I bought the pattern for this suit, I just want the jacket, for the price of the pattern, I could have bought the jacket.

Today was an expensive time in town... first I went to Starbucks to get a cup of coffee in one of their plastic re-usable cups and I gave into impulse and picked up one of their insulated tumblers to look at it. The lid popped out from between my fingers, hit the floor and broke a tiny (but essential) plastic piece off the inside. I was raised that if you broke something, you paid for it, so 20.00 later.... (I'm attempting to superglue the little part back into place; doubt it will work but I had to try)

Then over to Walmart for a bag of "Weed and Feed"--supposed to cover 10000 sq. feet. Almost 50.00. I told my son he better spread it thin and make the one bag work.

That seems like a defective design. I wouldn’t have paid for it. Did you tell the Barista what had happened. I expect they’d have given you a pass. If I were in a china store and knocked a piece of crystal off, I’d pay too.

Today I bought some Tee-shirt style tops.. and a ditsy floral long sleeve peplum top... got them all for 1/2 price in the sale .. I wouldn't have bought them if they'd been full price
