What have you bought recently?

$12 and change for flowers. The rest of the $$ wasn't real because it was on gift cards. About $80. The garden is now a riot of color, as they say.

I have ice cream now, but DD paid for it. Only two half gallons. Should last a day or two;)

Almost took the plunge, used car buying that is. I looked online found many to my liking but the prices are horrendous. Very few worth having for less than $20.000. Finally after my wife returned, she made a good argument against the idea. For now I called the auto body for some minor fender work on the 2016 we drive (paid off in 2020).

It's got a little more than 50K miles on it. We use it very little & the costs made my decision to put the idea on hold. So next Wed PM I'll take it for an estimate on fixing the dent (hit & run in Walmart's parking lot). Even paying for repairs is going to be less expensive than an added monthly payment plus higher insurance.

I bought a pair of cream leather loafers. Since I retired, my footwear has been trainers, sandals or boots but, there have been quite a few times recently when I have thought it would be nice to have a "proper" pair of shoes. Anyway, I saw them, bought them and love them and, if I hadn't, I just know that my last words on this planet would likely have been "I should have bought those shoes!" ;):)

Yep..never a truer word spoken.. :D

I was looking at all my shoes, boots and trainers yesterday... I realised that I haven't worn 2/3rds of the trainers.. and I'm worried I'm going to die without them ever having been worn.. so..I've vowed for the next month or 2 I'm going to wear a different pair every day.. so that at least they will have had the great opportunity to have been adorning my feet before I truly pop my clogs!!:love:

I got a Lenovo laptop late last year, Windows 11. I like it. I gave up on desktops a few years ago. My lappy stays on the coffee table in my livingroom, in the kitchen or on my lap. Hope your wife enjoys her new system!

Bottoms of pots, oven, baked on grease, etc. (I use my self cleaning oven tho')
I'm going to get my stainless steel sink done tomorrow. But Cameo powder does a good job too. C'mon over and help me, Dobie.... I'll give you lots of new Scrub Daddys!
Sure, I'd love to come over and help! I really don't mind scrubbing pots and pans. :)
As long as we can crank the music up loud. That helps me work better.

For a couple of weeks I’ve been looking for a long sleeve SPF shirt. Found one in a petite size for $100 at Eddie Bauer, except I can’t buy something if it’s not on sale. EB is always having sales so I checked today and it was $45. Except to get free shipping I had to spend $100. Took some doing to finally get 3 things and not go over the $100 too much. Hope they can fill the order.

DD and I went to the garden centers. We left a few things behind for other customers. I spent money and bank account is now dangerously low. Dangerously. Just in case, I have overdraft protection! Payday is Thursday.

It took four hours to plant everything and was so hot that when done, I took another shower. That's hot.

Feeling way behind... I never heard of the pink stuff never mind the green stuff! No idea what a scrub daddy is either.
I've never used the Pink stuff.. but I use the green stuff , and since it's become popular people who use the Pink stuff, say that the Green Stuff beats the pink stuff hands down...

Torrential rain today..skies black as coal, very loud thunder and forked lightening...

I made corned beef hash for dinner from scratch.. , and watched one of my Recorded TV shows, and while I was having dinner, the delivery guy knocked the door with 2 kimonos I bought to take to the beach.. . One's a jacket style, the other is dress style

Poor delivery guy was pretty drenched, I told him I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew he was going to have to deliver it in such treacherous weather... he's a good guy this company , always pleasant
