What have you bought recently?

@hollydolly Sit up and take notice! I spent money again today. After our Walmart trip on Sunday I realized that although it was on my list, I forgot TP. So I got some before leaving work today. TP, not flowers.

Oh by the by...don't waste your $$ on Irish Spring to deter squirrels. It doesn't work. The squirrels don't care. Heck, maybe they even like it.

What should I do with three more bars of Irish Spring soap? I don't use it.

Amazon order I just posted about:

Back scratcher, need to stop using scissors.

A mini masher. Using a fork is killing my hand.

Straw brushes. I can't find the one I have. I should find it momentarily since I just placed the order.

2 packs of Cat Crazies cat toys. My tabby loves these.

Yesterday I went to our local yarn shop for their annual sale 'just to get some of that organic cotton yarn for kitchen items' Yeah right, got some other cotton yarn also.

Bought a 12 pack

When we’re having our little vacation I checked out some crafty places. Bought a wind sculpture for the garden. Also a knitted cape/poncho type thing. Loved the colours. Brought it home and when I went to put it away with the other things I have I realized I really didn’t need it. I think it falls into the same category as these scarves I keep buying.

The only restraint I showed was not buying a beautiful long flax jacket. $1200. I don’t go to the type of places where I’d wear this now.

That's OK, it's cold where you live, you will use it.

Although I still have 3 usable pairs of prescription eyeglasses, all have been picking up minor scratches so have been looking online the last few weeks. My unaided eyes are a marginal 70/20 so can still legally drive without glasses and actually do quite a lot without wearing any. I've bought online a few times in the past. I don't tend to protect eyeglasses as recommended as am taking them on and off so much often chucking them into shirt pockets. For close distances I have dozens of cheap $1 reading glasses scatered everywhere. For social situations have metal rim eyeglasses but it is old, most scratched, so for close detail work, tv, or photography use a pair of robust plastic eyeglasses with eyeglass keeper straps, and a third cheapest $50 wire rim eyeglasses I just use at home as a spare.

Although I could have spent $50 online for a new wire rim pair, cheaper metal frames tend to be more likely to break due to inferior metal quality. Eyeglass websites do little explaining metal quality unless titanium so one is left to customer reviews or apparent quality due to pricing. Also cheaper prescription polycarbonate eyeglass lenses are more easily scratched. The frame I bought for $60 had been priced at $189 so was being discounted as a dated dwindling warehouse product. Distance lens is another $78 that includes Prism corrections. Ermenegildo Zegna is an upscale fashion brand retailer that actually does not design or make eyeglasses but I am expecting higher quality FWTW. So my actual cost with the lens prescription, shipping tax was about $150.

I just ordered a bag of Ka'Chava. That stuff is expensive but I got one last year and I thought I'd get another flavor this year. I need something as a meal replacement and I didn't have any adverse stomach affects from it.

Anyone else ever try it?
