What have you bought recently?

I bought a bunch of clothes hanger connector hooks...

@hollydolly speaks of these funky clothes hangers to maximise space. Any type out there are great, some are making things too heavy for the hanging bar in your closet lol!

In particular if the bar is small in diameter and metallic, you'll get sagging and eventually breakage. I've learned my lessons the drop way lol! When we purchase the one closet set we chose solid wood with huge diameter bars from IKEA.

These below couldn't take the extra weight lol!

The bars in my walk-in closet.. and the bars in my triple mirrored closet in the other room are very strong, they were hand built... (y)
 
My kids will get no inheritance. They'll just have to content themselves with admiring the flowers.

I did get four more Mexican petunias. And some pink guara. Then I came home and planted all the stuff from yesterday and today.

It was hot, but I soldiered on and got 'er done. The garden now looks like I wanted it to look in the spring before discovering that the Mexican petunias all died in our harsh winter.
 
Oh forgot to say my new Reading specs ( for computer use) arrived today as well.. this is the first time I've used this particular online company.. I paid £72 for them.. and they arrived basically unprotected by royal mail general post.. so this tiny cardboard box was pushed through my letterbox.. when I opened it there were the glasses in a plastic bag.. a little clear zip bag like we use in the kitchen, nothing else.. no case.. no cleaning cloth, no protective foam or bubble wrap...

I won't be using them again...
 
I bought an airbrush. I will use this to help me in painting landscapes and doing some model airplanes that I like to mess with...July/ August if inside hobby time where I live. It gets so hot and humid it is safer to stay inside. January and February too, as it is to cold to be outside....

So plenty of hobby time when one is retired...
 
Recently in late June, found my favourite coffee growing up. When we came back home, I gravitated towards DOUWE EGBERT, but it was costly (but got lovely storage containers). Tonight, while refilling our canister of instant coffee. I read the label and found out that Maxwell House is made by Douwe Egbert. Well how about that?

No wonder, hey? Enjoying a cup with honey and cow juice lol!

hahaha... aren't surgeons supposed to SAVE lives ?:sneaky:...tbh with you, I was expecting them to put up an argument as to why it shouldn't be cut down... in the UK we're all about saving tree... and almost always people have expressed horror when I've said I wanted this particulalr tree gone.. becaus there's no mistaking it was nice to look at..it gave a lot of shade as well in summer.. but no.. they looked at it and said ..right we'll have that down as quick as you want.. they realised it was causing a lack of light as well in my garden.. so they were happy to get it down..

I've given up buying these chemical loaded items for my dogs and now for my cat.

Instead, I use 1 cup of warm water (1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar, 3/4 cup warm water) using a normal nit comb, I combed the dogs and cat every months in spring to autumn seasons.

Flea and tick free. BTW CoffeeBean will be a year old on 13 July. Thank God for helping us find this adorable creature to make us all feel better.

Daughter bought gifts for me and herself but due to what happened Sunday, it seems that all it will be are wall decorations. Feeling deflated. Sorry!

However, her Avon is doing good, just hoping her Bodyshop business will take off soon...
