What have you bought recently?

I spent. $50 on a garden center gift card (for the 2x fuel points) and then $27 on curcuma and pentas from the "Clarence" shelves and some mulch.

Y'all are surprised that I spent on mulch and plants, right?

DD bought a few groceries at Sam's Club. Some of it for me...four individual portions of stuffed salmon. One is in the oven as we speak. As soon as it's done and I've eaten, back out to the garden in the heat to plant the curcuma and pentas and spread more mulch, depending on how much more of the heat I can stand.

Today is the tomorrow I mentioned yesterday. I "spent" all but $7 and change on the gift card. Got two more pentas for $2 each and six more sacks of mulch.

The pentas have been planted and three sacks of mulch spread.

Yanno what? Six more sacks added to the four I had left isn't gonna be enough. Told you it's a big garden! Arg.

I think I'm about done with summer and heat and weeds. Yup. I'm ready for cooler weather, just want the flowers to keep blooming without any effort on my part.

Just bought a new Electric kettle and toaster Duo...

My kettles never last more than 2 years , because of the hardness of our water and despite using SScale away et al.... so I'm always replacing them
However this time it was my toaster that's gone wrong, which is annoying because that's not more than 18 months old... so while looking for a fairly inexpensive toaster ( btw I saw toasters selling for £155. )... I thought I may as well replace the kettle at the same time, it's going to need replacing within the next few months anyway

My water flask is very small (3 x 6”) and I can’t refill it without a very small funnel. Found this out when travelling and there were no small size funnels in town. Instead of buying tiny funnels on Amazon, I bought some more flasks that came with funnels. Now I can keep a flask in my backpacks and purse. This is how an $9 purchase goes to $18.

Thanks for explaining that. I've often wondered how that happens, with many purchases.:unsure::unsure:

Had coupons in July for Purina Gourmet Gold cat food. Thought I'd give them a try. Unfortunately, CoffeeBean didn't enjoy them. He's a jelly lover kitten.

This morning had to go complete my registration at the GP, then went to HomeBargains to get him his favourite, Sheba Poultry and Fish Selections. Finally, happy and contented cat fast asleep on shelving unit.

Then, I almost bought a flowering bush at Lidl, but somehow, put it back down and walked away. Glad I did. They're called EUSTOMA. Too much maintenance for an indoor plant. The Wikipedia article explains it all.

Just in case anybody wondered, I haven't spent any $$ since the last time I reported spending money. Not spending money is kinda boring, but my bank account likes it.
I know. I spent 100 dollars yesterday. On what. Cat food for the ferals, large box of Prilosec and a couple other things at Walmart. Grocery shopping at WINCO Foods. It goes fast.

Today my all natural bar soaps came in and I couldn’t be happier. They have the nicest scents ever.

The one I used tonight ( cut soap in 1/2 ) is
Seaweed & Salt. But then theres
Lavender
Avocado Grapefruit
Lemongrass
Coconut
Eucalyptus / Mint

It was worth the wait.

I also got some rice water hair bar shampoo

My entire room smells heavenly.

Is everybody sitting down? Okay, then! Before I left work this morning, I bought a $50 garden center gift card. This afternoon DD and I went to the garden center and bought...nothing!

Then we went to the other garden center to visit the Clarence shelves, and even those yielded absolutely nothing!

So we stopped and got a frozen lemonade on the way home because it's so darned hot. DD paid.

I ordered a pair of black pants from the US. I already have a pair in a different colour from a year ago. When Nordstroms left Canada, they cut off my supply through a store. I do hope these fit well because it will be jumping through hoops to do a return.
