yes , it's a can to hold petrol.. but it's a 5 gallon can. If I fill this already heavy can with 5 gallons I won't be able to lift it.. so I mustn't fill it more than half...
 

Just so y'all know...and I already posted this on the What Are You Doing thread...I didn't spend any money today so I'm still solvent. My paycheck deposits at midnight.

I knew y'all would be wondering if the sheriff would be knocking at my door. Whew! Dodged a bullet;)
 

I now have lots of fall squash, sweet potatoes, apples, etc. 97 cents per pound which is a really good sale. Oodles of other foods. Nothing planned for dinner; that’s the norm for me.

There’s a dollar-type store with a huge selection, so I filled my bags with odds and sods that I’m almost sure I needed.
 
4 cases (48 dual pieces) of Deja's new favorite cat food....Fancy Feast Petites, Ocean whitefish with tomatoes. Chewy and Walmart were out of stock and luckily I found it on Amazon. Since she has other varieties here, these should last a couple of months.

Guess who gets to lug it around
 
Over a year ago I lost a very nice gold chain. Luckily the locket didn’t fall off my chest. Today there was a very good sale so I bought a replacement one. I didn’t like spending so much, but broke down because the locket just sat in the cupboard. It’s a simple chain and I can wear it with other things.
 
Paragon of Financial Virtue that I am (!), I didn't spend any money so far today and probably won't.

However, Amazon Big Deal Days are coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a particular pair of Lee Jeans that I want. It's not like they're expensive, but what the heck, if I get lucky and get them even a few bucks cheaper than usual, why not?

Why is Amazon specifying October 10 and 11 when they've actually already started their Big Deal discounts? 'Tis the Season to spend.
 
I bought this picture... Not because I necessarily need another picture, but this is androgynous, and will fit in anywhere ... it's about 3 feet x 2 feet... ..is well framed and heavy to lift... and an incredible £6 in the sale...

In the past 3 weeks I bought 3 different chainsaws. They were all returned.

Chainsaw #1 required I have octopus arms to hold, level, tighten, adjust the chain, and find the tension screw with a flashlight in the fifth hand. Chainsaw #2 had the chain flying off no matter how precise the chain was on. Chainsaw #3, I said, forget it and took it back without even opening the box.

I bought a canister of Metamucil. Probably going to regret that, too. It doesn't dissolve completely in cool/cold water, and you need to drink it right away.

I thought I would add the Metamucil to a hot drink, but decided to see if that was a good idea. Oh, no. It will turn into a gel, so guess I will have to try and learn to drink faster.
