What have you bought recently?

I bought a new dehumidifier for the basement. When we bought this fixer-upper house in 2022, everything was old and never replaced or updated, including the old dehumidifier. I just got it yesterday and plugged it in and what I'm most anxious to see is if it is more energy efficient then the ancient one that ran constantly, non-stop.

Are your farmer's markets opening up? Ours are setting out their goods everywhere.
"Farmer's markets" in the LA area are very expensive and where they get their goods is questionable. Very few farms in Los Angeles. Even the ones in the outlying areas tend to have just a couple of crops ripening at a time. So the "farmers" at FMs likely buy from the same wholesalers my produce store uses, then add very hefty markups.

A couple of nearby stores specialize in produce. Good, fresh produce that turns over quickly, and excellent prices.

the farmers markets here are the same.. ''very questionable''. We have them here regularly about once a month ... but their goods are overpriced, available for less elsewhere, even from the farm shops , and most don't actually come from farms.. ... and even often look like they've been imported.. and are near the end of their life...

people are easily tempted to buy Cheeses, and breads, cakes, nuts etc.. because they've are on a stall, and labelled as Farm fresh or Artisan... but in truth IMO they're overpriced foods I can get most places..

Today I bought this lovely Nikon Z 14-30mm S wide angle lens.

It's a thing of beauty :) See my "Daffs at The Castle" shot in the photography section.

The prices are high here also. Their peaches and tomatoes especially, even though they're grown locally.
But, the people still flock to these places.

You'd think with lockdown times over and lots of people aging, there would be more catering to our demographic for clothing. Losing some weight and hoping to keep the trend going I don't want to over invest. Going out shopping again for something on this order, but a little more generous in the old guy dimensions. :ROFLMAO:

Preferably a few more inches around the middle without a baggy chest and the bottom hem down to my knees.

I'm not asking for a lot, I just don't want to pay for tailoring in an inexpensive garment I may shrink out of before too long. My guess is that I'm just looking in the wrong places.

I had to look him up, Holly. Turns out he was a lawman who led the posse who tracked down & killed Bonnie & Clyde.
WoW!!...that was back in 1934.... thanks Star..I had no idea who tracked B&C down, but I do know they died in a hail of bullets...the same year my mother was born.. and she would be 90 in 5 days time...

Do you buy much online?

Do you prefer to shop in the brick & mortar stores...?

Did you recently get a great bargain, or feel you've paid too much for something ?

Come and share what you've bought in either ....

Still waiting for half the order to arrive even tho' we paid for a specific date for delivery
I’ve bought too much online for my new granddaughter!

I just bought a Black and decker Cordless Hammer Drill...

I put into my basket in Amazon price £49... then as I do always I went searching to see if anyone was selling it cheaper.. I wasn't expecting much reduction if any for a Hammer drill..especially B&D... so my jaw dropped when I saw that Argos ( online& instore retailer uk for those who don't know )... are selling it for a massive £16 cheaper.... £16 !!!😲...so I've just ordered it, to collect in person..it's cheaper than having it delivered..
