What have you bought recently?

I wear skorts all summer long - the type that have shorts underneath, not the ones that are a solid skirt in front but split in the back.
Just ordered a couple of new cotton skorts and a print shirt for summer. The model is 5'9" and I'm 5'4" so it will not be quite as short. The 2nd skort is navy and white, though it looks black in the photo.

Obvs the print shirt is not intended to go with the skorts. Obvs.

Yesterday I bought one of these at Costco for considerably less than it is offered for here on EBAY..

Lifetime 165 Gal. Outdoor Resin Storage Deck Box- Modern Design | eBay

Got tired of rats or squirrels chewing the stuffing out of my outdoor cushions. Hoping this will help as well as cut down on the time it takes to carry them in and out of the house.
I have one similar to that. It's on my deck. I keep the chaise lounge cushions inside it. It works great.

Woohoo. Been to the garden centers and still have $$ left over. I might be, could be, that I'm done buying plants until fall. I left plenty of flowers, shrubs and other stuff for the rest of the customers.

Tomorrow all that stuff is gonna get planted.

Tomorrow is payday at work, and I'm back to depositing paycheck to the EF.

Yesterday I spent $13. A crystal beer glass that matched the three at home. A crystal butter dish.

And small set of salt & pepper shakers and a third shaker that I’m not sure what the intended use is. There were just a few pieces of Vista Ware nestled in among other things. As much as I loved the bright colours, I couldn’t justify anything but these three pieces, not because of the cost but because I use grinders now. The glass part is made in Stoha Germany and the plastic lids were made in Stoha, West Germany.

Does anyone know what the little one on the right would be used for? The lid flips up.

What's under the lid? Holes, a spout?
Syrup, powdered sugar, honey.

it's odd that your salt dish is round... because most salt dishes ..certainly vintage..were kind of hexagon shaped like the little bottle you're showing..

Did you get real work or a resinous material that will last longer? I finally replaced my second pair of wooden ones for the permanent alternative.
these are resin....I've not actually replaced my wooden ones quite yet..I was thinking of giving them away on Freecycle but I'm thinking I might cuprinol them in a colour to match my wooden shed door.., and then varnish them and see how they come up...

I’ve still got the two I replaced our back but moved them to an area I’m going to turn j to a driveway eventually. Fills a hole without putting anything in the ground I’ll just have to take soon.

I like wearing skorts in the warmer weather. I’m somewhat tall so they are fairly short on me. You have good taste Starsong.
Thanks, PP. I have about a dozen skorts; about half solids, half prints. Most land about 2" above my knee. I have a couple of pairs of shorts but prefer these. I don't like capris and can't imagine ever wearing them.

Skorts became my go-to bottom starting about 20 years ago when I was selling uniforms. Hot summer days when various schools' AC couldn't reliable combat 105°-110° August temperatures and large crowds of overheated bodies called for our staff to dress in loose, lightweight clothing.

As for the skorts - fortunately, my legs have always been in good shape and remain so. 🤞 Even so, when I was in Maui last year, observing locals and tourists reminded me people should wear what makes us comfortable, regardless of our body or skin conditions.

Women with age & sun damaged skin sported halter tops and two piece bathing suits (with ample bellies on view), and they did so without embarrassment or second glances from others. Ditto bandy-legged men in shorts, going shirtless despite protruding bellies. Vanity was secondary to comfort and relishing all that beautiful island had to offer. It was a freeing experience.

I hope, of course, than they slathered on plenty of sunscreen, but was nevertheless grateful for their example.

I put on my sleeveless shirts without a second thought, and will do so again when temps heat up here. If my somewhat crepey, wrinkly body offends some, they can just look the other way!

I had a hankering for some pork chops. So there ya go. Despite having more than enough food to last a couple weeks, I just had to have some Pork Chops. Just because. They've always been my favorite, but I try to eat healthy these days, and Pork Chops aren't really on the plan. :D

I'm a hankering kind of person. When someone talks about some good food on the forum or elsewhere, there goes that hankering. Then I have to get some.
Now It need pork chops. 🤔
