What have you bought recently?

Needed green pepper for the Greek Salad. Decided to pick up a few other things. Nearly forgot the pepper. Good thing I decided to look at my list on the phone. As I was wandering about the store, I kept thinking there’ll be something else I need. Nah. Opened the fridge and realized I don’t have any tzatziki or pita bread.

Found a dress that I love even though it’s a bit big. That’s the problem with shopping in a thrift store. In the US you may have seen the dresses with fish, white stripes, circles. Cotton Fields by M. Max. This pattern has been around for years. I have a short one; this one is midi length.

The boy dog wasn't eating his regular human grade doggie meals from "The Farmer's Dog"
Thinking maybe the homemade beef and chicken jerky had spoiled him
Someone suggest grabbing some shredded mild cheddar cheese to sprinkle on his Farmer's Dog meals
Picked up some shredded mild cheddar for the boy dog
WHAM-OH WHA-LA !!! Nailed it. Mason licked his bowl clean and was looking around for more
Didn't take much cheese to get him interested either. Just a pinch. Guess he LOVES cheese. Who knew.
Say CHEESE :)

all our dogs have always loved cheese. We used tiny pieces of cheese, when we were training them...

Maybe some caviar? Or hummingbird liver pâté?

Seriously... this is a gag, right?
Dogs love cheese!

All our family dogs have loved cheese and, as you state above, it's a great training tool. One family member had a puppy which was very possessive about food, if you went near it when it was eating, it would growl. The problem was solved when the puppy was taught to leave the food bowl and sit when asked to while a little cheese was sprinkled into the bowl. The pup learned that someone touching it's food bowl was a good thing, not a punishment and, it was all down to the cheese :)

Good to hear that Mason is doing well. :)

My friend's little dog loves raw carrots!

We had a large dog who needed meds for her hips but she'd spit them out. Eventually figured out this routine - I'd "accidentally" drop a little cheddar on the floor. As she went for it, I'd drop another little bit, this one with the pill in it, then a small one after that. She was so focused on getting that cheese before I picked it up that she ate them all whole without realizing she'd take her pill.

Dogs LOVE cheese, and I agree with the above comments. It's a wonderful training tool.

Doctor Detroit (1983) on DVD. Oddly there was never a decent trailer for this film. It also seems to be among the flicks almost impossible to find on a streaming service.

Not a great film by any stretch of the imagination. But hilarious and full of quotable lines, with a nice cameo by James Brown.

Got a good price, the Blu-ray is still overpriced. It'll be passed around the family, a few are Dan Aykroyd fans who haven't seen it in decades.

A second small fan from Costco. We have AC in the house. Sometimes it feels too stuffy, especially at night. Thought these would be good for those days. They have good reviews.
This second fan was defective. Phooey. DH who didn’t want the original thinks this little Woozoo is great. Yesterday, was not but not quite hot enough to justify turning the AC on. The fan did the trick. The original cost $39 and the sale is over. If I buy it online it will cost $59.

If you return it and explain it's defective, I'm betting they'll honor the sale price. Costco is really good about things like that.

2 Universal travel adaptors... with USB slots and surge protection. I have loads of travel plugs which have been used over many years in my travels but none with USB slots in them..so I'm replacing them with these

Well, weeks ago I ordered some 30% vinegar product as an holistic solution to the annoying weeds I have surrounding our house.

I wanted to use something that wouldn’t affect our dogs. All dogs eat grass and ours are no different. Anyway this stuff is SIX times stronger than regular vinegar. I mixed it with 3 times the amount of water, 1/2 cup of salt with a tablespoon of dish liquid.

Anyway to say ‘this stuff really works’ is an understatement. I’ve got a beautiful growing chunk of grass

next to driveway gravel thriving weeds. It’s such a relief to get rid of them in a safe, healthy manner

Now I’ll create a boundary line so the two areas are well defined. I’m buying more of this stuff.

I feel confident clearing these weeds now.
It started working in less than 30 minutes. Two days later the weeds are brown, and dried up. GONE!!!!

10 watt solar powered 12 volt trickle charger for the car.

Walking and using the bus line and not doing a daily commute means that the many parasitic loads of a modern car can drain the battery below cranking strength. Such a thing should probably just be built into cars now as a standard feature.

Nothing like going out at 11 pm to make a quick run and finding out the car won't start.

I bought new flowers for the Cemetery yesterday.
Also I purchased a new iphone 15 plus yesterday at the AT&T store, they had a 'deal'......here's the deal.... $6.00 a month for 3 years..no interest, (no paying it off early or adding to the payments each month) and I had to pay $76 dollars tax on the full price of the phone..(?!?)...overall the phone will cost me $300, that's roughly $500 to $600 less that buying a new one outright.
