What have you bought recently?

I went to WINCO Foods this AM. Update: They did refund me the extra scanned box of frozen waffles from two weeks ago. I didn't mention the Bubbly soda I LEFT in the cart, but did get another one today and it's actually here. :D

There was an estate sale sign but I couldn't figure out the house. When I drove back from the store, the sign was out at the house so I stopped and took my bag in with me with the cold items I bought (hummus and tofu) Nice home, nice people (her mother's home who passed) Spent only 8 dollars on a number of things. Could have bought more, stopped myself.

I wish I had some way to transport a couple pieces of furniture I noted, especially a little desk.

Dropped off things at a charity shop and then headed to a regular ladies clothing store that is having a sale. Bought a pair of athlesiure pants and a dress. It’s a little low. It wouldn’t be a problem if someone was slightly endowed. Maybe I should have done more of those “we must, we must, ….” when I was a teen. 🤭 I will take my time and re-evaluate them in front of my own mirror.

I must have done too much of it.....:oops:🫣

Brio. The soda pop made from cane sugar was on sale for $1.27 each. In university days, that’s what we’d order when we went for pizza. It brought back memories. I rarely recall seeing it in stores here.

Also bought the usual healthy stuff.

Hard to tell from this image, but these are Toasted Vanilla Capuccino cookies, a promotional flavor this company is trying out and it's sooo good! So not knowing how long I'll be able to get them, I bought 2 bags. And I had to order them online, none of the stores around here aren't carrying them yet (or even ever, knowing these stores around here  ).

I bought a new Dehumidifier for our basement earlier this week. Our old one quit working after about 10 years, and getting it repaired would cost more than a new one. With all this Springtime rain, we need to have one to prevent mold buildup, etc., down there. This new one is doing a fantastic job of drying the basement....has pulled over 10 gallons of moisture in the past 4 days,

Prescription refills, a few random paper products, and some sparse salty snacks.

Prices are way up, shelves are getting empty, and the pharmacist said getting meds stock is becoming increasingly difficult. I won't go into it but we all know what's going on, even those who won't admit it.

same thing is happening here .. pharmacists are pulling their hair out . They can't provide medication for the people who need it most... stories daily about diabetics unable to get their medication etc.. even pharmacies closing down due to it..

One pharmacist told the tale of an old lady who offered him £5,000 to remain open... of course she had no real concept of the reason they are so affected

I don't know what you mean. Please elaborate.

One grab-bag of causes can be found at:

The Drug Shortage Crisis in the United States: Causes, Impact, and Management Strategies

The issues aren't new, just increasing in severity beginning with C-19 lockdown policies and expanding economic woes.
OK, so nothing nefarious, which is what I imagined when you wrote: "The pharmacist said getting meds stock is becoming increasingly difficult. I won't go into it but we all know what's going on, even those who won't admit it."

I love purple but, you don't often see much of it so, when I spotted a white t-shirt with thin purple stripes, I knew it was meant for me :) I also bought some of my favourite summer foods - salmon, salad, olive bread, M&S pesto & pasta salad, fresh pineapple and strawberries - and some cold drinks so, we are all ready for the sun - bring it on! :)☀️
