@Jules, if I may... here's an article about castor oil, just fyi. I looked it up because I know the deadly poison ricin is manufactured from the castor bean. However, a nurse friend of mine swears that nothing is better for softening skin than castor oil.“If everyone was jumping off a bridge, would you too?” Quoting my mother. Seems like I would.
Since I kept reading of the merits of organic, cold-pressed castor oil, I ordered some too. It’ll help my skin, my complexion, my arthritis (I don’t have any), my bowels (seriously?), etc.
Well I tried the castor oil as well...all it gave me was greasy skin... and that was using it sparingly...“If everyone was jumping off a bridge, would you too?” Quoting my mother. Seems like I would.

No, Castor Oil Can’t Solve All (or Any) of Your Health Problems

Ah, it's blended with another moisturizer!Do you know of any good snake oil to replace it?
The advice from a senior makeup artist made me decide to try it. She found it helpful and blends it with another regular moisturizer. I bought a small bottle. It was late at night and my resistance to nonsense was low.
The only difference is in our wallets. These companies are really good sales folkNo, I haven't got anything fancier than a cream with retinol, and I see no difference.
I see some of my friends on fakebook use it and like it. I have never tried it. I use an organic product called Tallow All-in-one Skin Balm. It had great reviews on Amazon and I decided to try it. I like it a lot because I am older now and have thin skin under my eyes and this seems to help. It can be used on the rest of the body, not just the face.Do you know of any good snake oil to replace it?

I use sweet almond oil, but mainly as a carrier oil for mixtures of essential oils chosen for their scent.“If everyone was jumping off a bridge, would you too?” Quoting my mother. Seems like I would.

What will you do with 20 lbs of fresh cherries?A pound of medium roast coffee beans. Purchased from a natural-food retailer a five minute drive from our place, and they get it wholesale from a coffee-roasting company on our region. Also bought 20 pounds of fresh cherries a neighbor brought back for us from the Okanagan Valley (a four-hour drive for him, but he was there on business).
I'm a quilter and a cross stitcher, too, so I'd like to see it when you get itJust waiting on a William Morris counted cross stitch to be delivered .... and a bag of compost.![]()
