Yesterday, I bought a set of Bluetooth wireless earbuds because Microsoft Corp (I assume) turned off audio output on my PC, presumably because I can't (and won't) upgrade to Win11.
So, I get the earbuds and they worked great until I tried to recharge them this morning. Turns out the thing you plug into a charging port doesn't fit any of the USB ports or charger blocks I have.
Why the hell do various devices have to require various sized charging ports? Why can't they be universal? I get that they need various voltage levels, but I see no reason why the devices themselves can't have a built-in voltage moderator or regulator or whatever. Surely, that's possible.
Anyway, I irately ordered a multi-port charging station today, and I'm not happy about it.
At least there's no delivery charge, because the stupid thing costs over $40. I mean, that isn't going to break me, but this shouldn't even be a thing, imo.
