What have you bought recently?

Some blue paint. Time to paint the bathroom a better shade of blue. (bought some to try to match the counter). Picture doesn't capture the true wall color. (has a tinge of greenish to it).

Next, question for the experts here. I need to re-paint the small bedroom. It's a hideous color right now, (beats me what you'd call it), and I see it's bleeding something through.
Question is, what color, (colour for you over the pond folks) ;) would you think would be nice?

depends if the room gets a lot of light.... or not... if the former then you can get away with any colour...if not much light then concentrate on much lighter colours... a shade of yellow.. or beige... apparently blues and greens are not condusive to restful sleep.. nor colours like red ... . You could make a feature wall out of a vibrant colour and paint the other walls in a muted colour, however... ...

For example I have lime green in my small office room..on just one wall.... and the other walls are snow white... so altho' the room is tiny it' gives it an illusion of space

Visited Clarence at the "party store" and got two half price plants, a blanket flower and a diamond frost. They only came to less than $10. Yay. They're already planted, course.

I just bought a bunch of clothes and vitamins from the US. The mail here is pretty much nonexistent so I send my order by a shipping contractor in Miami, who uses an excellent shipper who always arrives on time. And I can track them online. Where I live in Ecuador, it doesn't have much for casual clothes except like workout or running clothing and almost no vitamins. There are other things as well I've had to order.I also buy books fro my kindle app on my phone. So yes, I bought recently and I shop online.🙂

I'll join the Dust Buster fan club. Had one years ago that finally gave up the ghost and just went without for a long, long time. Decided not long ago that I deserved another one. Yup. I did. Love it.

DD took me by the garden center to get another shasta daisy. Because...I needed it. It's gonna get planted with the orange begonias. Then she made me get a big pot of dianthus. Because the ones I have are all bright pinks and pastel pinks. This pot has white and red in it. It was pricey, but she made me get it anyway.

💸💸💸💸

It's too hot to go out and plant them. Maybe in the morning if it's not raining.

Paint for my shed.
After losing some paint to rust remover I decided to paint it. It also dawned on me that of course I'd need to paint it.
Just the front. The front was the only place with rust. The sides just need cleaning.
So I bought the paint/ primer and some tape to tape off the trim.
.....and Argon Oil and Redi-Whip w/o sugar.

which reminds me I must look for some White satin paint in the barn, I've got a hatch that needs painting ... it;s been waiting for several months, most unlike me...

yesterday in Costco I got 12 large chicken thighs for £5.50... 1 kilo of sausages for £5.69 and 1 kilo of Scottish Strawberries really sweet for just £3...they had £4.00 off a punnet just for this week... £14.19 in total... approx $19 USD

I got everything portioned up and frozen today... and it worked out with the meat it covers 12 meals and the strawberries were frozen into 6 half pound bags so they'll last for maybe 2 months... not bad at all for the price

Nothing for me but a gift for the son and DIL a freezer for them to have a place to store meats and things that we find on sale. They have a 13 yr old son to feed not to mention his friends.

Having a garage freezer was a blessing when he was growing up. Now, with the cost of everything it is best to stock up on sales.

Today made an Amazon buy for 4 minor items:

Have been buying those same cheap black shoes for a few years now at about 2 per year as the soles wear out from all my freestyle street dancing. Just tossed out a couple pairs of cheap sunglasses in my car because they have become too scratched. Most sunglasses are too large for my head so these are women frame sized. The polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), in the ballhead on my Benbo tripod that I use for close-up subjects, has worn out so it is difficult to tighten the head securely. Surprisingly cheap price for apparent highly rated quality in reviews.

Those neck drapes can be attached to any baseball style hats of which I have several to protect my neck so I don't end up with skin cancer. I also have a sun hat with a neck drape that I wear out in the field during photography work.

My ugly sapphire & sterling silver ring arrived today. A week or two earlier than expected.
I like it. It's comfortable with a solid back, doesn't move around and low, so it doesn't catch.
Besides, it's kinda gnarly and unique. Not another one like it in the house.
Sapphire is my birthstone.

EDIT: Posted this image on "my" pocket knife forum.
Big pocket knife makes the ring look smaller than it is.

JMO. Easiest way to choose a wall color is to pick something you like and match your paint to that. For example a bedspread, curtains, a rug, a large painting, etc. Could even be a peel and stick wallpaper boarder. Nothing is more aggravating than painting your wall a color and then you cant find anything to match. Its much easier to match paint to your stuff.

Since you already have that blue counter in the bathroom look for that color in your inspiration piece to tie the two rooms together.
Also include whatever color your flooring is in your inspiration piece.
