What I Did Yesterday

I am fortunate to live only 70 miles from Yosemite National Park and yesterday took a drive intending to go into the park and have lunch at the Awhanee Hotel, but stopped short of the park by two miles and instead had lunch at the Tenaya Lodge since I had never visited it before. I had a great, very reasonably priced fish and chip luncheon with the more healthy sweet potato fries instead of the traditional chips. The glass of Chardonnay that I had with lunch was equally out standing. Unlike the east coast of the U.S. right now. there was little or no snow at elevation, but it was still a gorgeous day and I was back home by 3:30 PM for a little nap.

My friends in Clovis did the exact same thing about two weeks ago,Lon! At least I`m pretty sure it was them that did it-I would have to go back and recheck FB. She had at first posted that they went to Awhanee and then said "Ooops,it was the Tenaya Lodge." She must have partaken in some of that Chardonnay as well....
