What is a reasonable price for lithium batteries?

I need them for my digital camera, but lately, they're difficult to find and when I do they seem on the pricey side. I used to be able to get them at Dollar General, but they haven't carried them in a long time. The last I bought was an 4-pack at Lowe's a little over a year ago and I thought it was expensive then when they were around $12. Now look.....and they're the same price at WalMart.

Do you really need lithium ion batteries? AA cheaper ones would not make any difference to your camera, just would not last as long. I buy the Amazon Basics regular AA batteries in bulk. 4 of them costs about $2, much less than lithium ion. I only buy lithium ion batteries in sizes where the regular ones are not available.

If you have to have Lithium AA batteries they're going to be expensive. The Alkaline Duracell Coppertop AA 24 Count Pack batteries are what I use in....things that take AAs. ;)

Not me...I buy regular batteries in Bulk from Amazon..as you do... usually 40 at a time
 
I use lithium batteries in all my flashlights, remotes and any other devices that I need to work or sit for long periods between uses. It's just too much fun to clean up after alkaline batteries. Some brands of alkaline batteries are less prone to leaking, but not immune to it in my experience, your mileage may vary.

I use lots of batteries and its been 30+ years since I had a leakage problem, and some of my batteries have been in old flashlights for years. Maybe it depends on the environment.

For me Amazon bulk is the way to go, saves a lot of money.

I don't know about the enviroment as almost all the things I use them in are inside my house , which is climate controlled. It's only been the last 10- 12 years I've noticed any problem and almost always I use big name brands. Most of the batteries are AA or AAA, so far no problems with 9V's. Maybe some kinda "evil curse" ????
 
Some batteries have different amp hours but if it's listed on the battery it's probably a better battery. Also some companies put an expiration date on the package or battery. If it's a 10 year battery but a couple years that's old stock so stay from that pack.

4 pack at a Harbor Freight for 8 dollars 700 mah in some parts of the country.
