How many coffee cups are in your cabinet?? We use the same 3 cups every morning but we have about 10 cups in the cabinet!!
Drinking glasses get used more as they are going in the dishwasher until it is full, coffee cups are washed by hand daily..

yep we're the same we have way too many more cups than we use. Think we have about 12 mugs..but only use the same 4 or 5... . We have even more drinking glasses, only one or 2 a day are used..

I was having a similar discussion with my friends just yesterday , about this same thing, and 2 out of 5 of us...have way too many bath and hand towels, as well as bed linen that is required for this house..

Interesting to know what everyone else has too much of in their homes, but yet can't bring themselves to clear out..

two favorite cups
washed three times daily
used three times daily

drinking glasses...hmmmm.....I think they are still in the container from three years ago

we use small Gatorade jugs

even when in the formal dining 'room' (breakfast nook)

There is a dozen in the cabinet. But the Wife has two special Unique mugs that she always uses and there are a whole host of "odd" cups that I keep in the Carriage house that I use that were from vendors, companies, gifts, etc. that I use when working. I have a tendency to leave the cups where I was working. Then get a new cup. Every night we have a coffee cup roll call, so I can gather in all my cups and mugs.

Great picture Gary O, I love the wood. I can't tell what species it is, the wall looks a bit knotty at first I though t might be Cedar. What is it exactly? Nice Job.

My hubby has one mug that he likes for hot beverages and a glass mug with a picture of the Clydesdale horses. We got that glass at a fair before we were married when the horses came to visit in PA. I have about 5 different size mugs. The kids gave me most of them. In the morning I like the big mug for my coffee to get my heart started and if it is late in the day I'll use the smaller one for a quick pick me up. I have a set of 4 matching mugs and glasses that I keep way in the back of the kitchen cabinet in case someone stops and we have a cup of coffee at the kitchen table. Doesn't happen very often. Gary, that is just beautiful. Warm, comfortable and uncluttered.

Diogenes tossing his bowl when he sees a child drinking from his hand.

The cupboards in my little apartment are full and the china dresser in the dining area is crammed with every size goblet and tumbler that you can imagine!

I normally use the same coffee cup, 16 oz. bartenders glass and 8oz. juice glass every day. The coffee cup is always on the kitchen counter and the glasses are frosted in the freezer until I need them.

Gary have you posted a picture?..I can never see your pictures I have no idea why..there's not even any kind of emoticon there, nothing at all.... could some please copy Gary's picture and post it so I can see what I'm missing... :D

I just got rid of 5 or 6 mugs. Kept 4 matching ones, plus 2 others. I think I have 8 matching water glasses, but also have several others. We use glasses. .

Not a lot my flatware matches anymore. I had a nice set, but somehow pieces disappear- then replaced with Walmart bundles of 4 that don't quite match. Close, but no cigar.

Wow Gary. Love the woodwork and everything about the photo!

As far as far as coffee cups go...um...you got me. I have 20
I love handmade artsy stoneware pottery signed by the artist.
I have 3 mugs with a unique Japanese "Shino" glaze that's very difficult to do.
The glaze and colors look like the one on the left (below) but mine are her mugs she did.
The artist is Connie Christensen from "Artists on Santa Fe Gallery" in Denver Colorado.

I also have 4 from the university where my daughter graduated cum laude. And one with a drip glaze from a Carmel-by-the-Sea artist (signed) where I got married at the Highlands Inn. The Chapel there is now history due to change of ownership. Yup, they paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

And I have 4 mugs from a South Korean artist who shows her work here locally. She signs each one with a lotus blossom on the bottom and a petal atop the handle to rest your thumb. Her glazes are beautiful. Her name is Eun Young Leem and her pottery is featured in Cameron Village's "Little Gallery" in NC.

Really interesting Lara!

A long time ago on a planet far away, you posted some pottery glazed mugs that were so different and so lovely I was going to buy two. They were sold out! I wish I could remember where....they were red. You have a great eye!

Do you mean these two from "Magnum Pottery" in Weaverville, NC? I think they're 12oz. Their number is 828-645-4929 http://www.mangumpottery.com/PagesFolder/WeavHome.html

This toll free number, 888-288-2112, takes you to a different number that says they can't take your call right now and to leave a message but doesn't even say the name of the business. So try the 828-645-4929 number instead.

Lara, no these aren't the ones. But they are pretty and I do like a handle with a thumb rest like these. I thank you very much for taking the time! :love_heart:

Okay Rose...it's just as well because these are a little too big and way too expensive (12oz - 4.5' tall - $36plus shpg). I think their prices have gone up. But they are pretty and a lot of work to handcraft them.

I'm glad you found them (or similar) but I've never seen those before. Someone else must have posted them. Eek, it just started snowing here in NC and I hear sirens already....we just can't handle it

No cups but 13 mugs of varying sizes, and I live alone ! Time for a trip to the charity shop I think :)
