What is Love?

I think men are not the best at soft and mushy so trying in other ways to express the love they feel works best.

My thought on that comes from experience from long ago when I tried.

My new bride asked me to whisper something soft and mushy in her ear. I did. Diarrhea

56 years!!! Well good for you both! I'm happy for you. My guy and I have been hanging out together for about 43 years in all. We'll never catch up to you, but one day we'll match your record:). I keep telling him I'm too old to break in another one so he's stuck with me till the bitter end:playful:.

Unconditional love is something that you mainly get from your parents, especially mothers. In saying that i have recently found love and am married to the most wonderful man in the world who loves me unconditionally warts and all. These relationships though rare do happen.
 
My favorite definition of love is from The Road Less Traveled by M Scott Peck.

The will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth.

To me that covers all types of love.
