What is one of your funny memories?

One of my funny memories concerns Julia Child. Years ago, I was watching her TV cooking show. ( I got to meet her. She was a lovely lady and about 6'2".) She was preparing a fish dish. It had a fancy French name. From underneath the counter, she hauled out this big fish. by the tail. She swung it around her shoulder, and whammed it into the counter. She said you had to tenderize the fish. She took out this large hammer, and hit the fish. This was no little tappy tap hit. She hauled off, and just nailed this fish with the hammer. So she starts whacking the fish as hard, and as fast as she can, The fish is jumping up and down. She's huffing, and puffing and whacking away. Here's this rather large woman beating the hell out of this poor fish. I was on the floor laughing, with tears coming down.

Mine is back from when I was a kid. I was standing on a chair on our front lawn (don't ask), fell off and broke my arm. Whenever my mom would tell people about it, she would end the story with "On the grass, mind you!!!"
Fast forward to adult hood, whenever my cousin and I are taking, and want to bring home a point one of us will exclaim "On the grass, mind you!!!" . Just a catch phrase between us that no one else gets.

I once wrote a friend a letter and we had a mutual friend I mentioned in my letter but I didn't know how to spell his name, it sounded like 'Elite Sewer' so that is what I wrote. The letter she sent me back said that really cracked her up when she read it.
