When I had my driveway repaved at my old house, the contractor laid a bed of crushed stone. The pavers I've been getting quotes from either just dig out the old driveway and lay down new asphalt or put what they term "road fabric" underneath. When I mention crushed stone, they stare blankly at me. Is road fabric any better or worse than crushed stone?
