What is served besides clams at a clam steam?

Our high school class reunion committee is getting all excited about having a clam steam for the event. I am not a big fan of seafood, especially shellfish. I just hope there are other thing to eat besides clams. What are typical foods served?

Funny, we call then Clam Bakes- usually clams, lobsters, corn on the cob, potatoes, salads, clam chowder.

That restaurant menu Bea posted is big time! Just keep in mind it is mostly a seafood event so if you find out there's not much else offered besides seafood, eat at home first.

My parents used to have their own clam steam once a year, usually Labor Day (first Monday in September). They made "bundles" with cheesecloth and put a piece of chicken, a white potato, a sweet potato and a small onion. These were placed in with the clams to steam. I would eat the items in the bundles. Everyone does it differently, so I was just wondering.

Interesting! I'm thinking now the east coast probably have different traditions that in CT we call clambakes.

You should probably ask someone on "the committee." :D (You might need to pack a lunch or something.)
