What is something that you could never learn to do?

I took driving lessons, the driver's test 3 times couldn't pass and get my driver's license
I never felt comfortable behind the wheel, but I've survived my adult life without a car

I could never work at a repetitive job... I worked once as a Christmas temp at a factory when I was about 20 , and the repetitive work made every day seem like a week.. horrible.. makes me shudder to this day. Longest 6 weeks of my life..

Haven't tried much of anything new in recent years ..... just trying to keep up with basic technology to get by on my computer and cell phone.

But I do remember in high school how I wanted to learn secretarial courses, and Shorthand being one of them.
That course drove me crazy! I couldn't wrap my dyslexic brain around it. LOL

Got thru it somehow, but never had a job where I had to use it - thank goodness!

How to use a cell phone or credit card
easy as pie... cell phone the same as a landline except no cord... credit card just means tapping a machine.. and the money comes out of your bank..or online just means entering a long number, and an expiry date ( both on the card ) along with the amount you want to pay... all self explanatory... couldn't be easier...

You do yourself a disfavour.. these 2 things are verrrrrrry easy...

Knit. I'm a southpaw but don't even hold a pencil in the traditional left-handed way. And not even a true left-hander anyway. I only eat and write with my left hand; everything else is done right-handed.

My ambidextrous aunt tried to teach me. I've tried "Knitting For Dummies" by holding the pictures in the book upside down. No soap :(

Piano? LOL! Eight years of piano lessons couldn't make me into a piano player. I was so bad that I only remember being in the annual recital once (or maybe twice). I took lessons from the nuns. My mother worked just a few blocks away from the school and on afternoons of my piano lesson, she'd stop and collect me on her way home. She told Sister "I've always wanted to play the piano, and GG is going to learn if it kills me!" Sister: "Then you should really spend the cost of lessons to do that. GG has no interest." The lessons were $1.25/week, a lot of money in those days.

After I grew up and left home, my mother took piano lessons. She learned to play Minuet in G.

I did learn to read music, though, which was handy because I played violin, trombone and clarinet in elementary school and, finally, trumpet in high school. Stuck with trumpet all four years, eventually rising to third chair. First and second chairs were waaaay too talented for me to ever get to those.

I also learned that Middle C is directly across from the belly button (providing you sit at the piano in the correct spot).

Some card games like cribbage and euchre
Ice skating or roller skating

When to shut up

Yes a cell phone is very easy, start out with a flip phone like I have and if you like it and it serves your needs keep it. A CC is easy too like Hollydolly said, nothing to it, you just have to pay it off monthly to keep from being charged interest unless you get a 0 percent one and they are hard to get with no credit history.

Now as far as knowing when to shut up, let me know when you master that because I have that same problem lol lol.

I cannot dance (or keep a beat)! Despite having 4 daughters who got married, and dance lessons, and a lot of patience on the part of my dearly departed wife. I do understand that some people, like me, just have no sense of rhythm. It is simply beyond our ability to learn. I do enjoy listening to music . . . just don't ask me to keep time to it!

I learned to play cribbage from my dad when I was about 10. He was an avid cribbage player and made me into one. I play it online on several websites as it is hard to find other players. It really isn't all that difficult. Some people liken Euchre to Bridge, but Bridge is my game. Never cared for Euchre.

Not a case of not knowing how to use...but being scared of using the electrical drill.

Gyprock isn't a problem to hang pictures. However, concrete means Rawl plugs, drilling and more.

Recently hung a lovely painting on a light canvas with them new stickies strips, in living room. However, one spin cycle by washing machine in kitchen, and painting came down right behind TV screen, phew!

Nevertheless, will try new super strength stickies again later on. 😆😆😆

Also, lost my telekinesis abilities. I guess I'm controlling my nerves better these days. However, it was fun when teachers or students were a pain in class, to send brushes and chalks flying off the blackboard shelf...
