What is the best compliment anyone ever gave you?

Guess I am known by many as the One with the Patience of a Saint. I guess a career in teaching
pre-school children had something to do with it.
Plus I will not argue something out, I will discuss
anything but screaming matches and temper fits do not impress me and solves nothing.

You mean with these friends who are women? Our friendship is what matters. They have been in relationships with men over the years of our friendship.
No, they've already been sidelined, so to speak. I mean what if you meet a new woman tomorrow? What do you do if you are actually attracted to her? Stick the friend zone even though it will drive you insane, or what?

That's a nice description for you to be known by .. Having patience is not a virtue many people have ..
You should feel good about that!

I used to think I had the patience of a saint. Then my children started laughing when I told them.

Now I'm totally confused. Except no one has said I have the patience of a saint to me. Where are you @VeggieMan ?

Well, if I'm ever in that situation, I better get in touch with you!
Sorry, I'm being evasive .
If I'm actually attracted to a woman, start the relationship slowly and see if we can be friends first...

One of my close friends once told me that "I feel I can talk to you about anything.' That was almost fifteen years ago and her and I are great friends. Yes, her and two other friends ( another man and woman,) all share a long lasting friendship, together. Yes, these are platonic relationships..that's why these friendships have lasted so long...
I can relate somewhat to those kind of relationships. From my past employment, there are 3 women I stay in touch with. It's very rare to see them in person, but we still talk once in awhile by phone. It would never be anything but platonic.

Mine is sadly ironic. One day when my son was in fourth grade and I was picking him up from school, I commented to him what a kind and wonderful mom the mother of one of his best friends seemed to be, so kind and warm and loving. He said something along the lines of "You're just like her, Mom," and gave me a hug.

I was told by some people how kind I was to my wife, taking care of her when she went through her final illness. I never felt I deserved those words.
The same thing with me. My husband was always thanking me and I wished he didn't feel that he needed to because I did it out of love. A lot of people we knew was always telling me I was a "saint" or an "angel" for all I did for him. I didn't take it too seriously because I didn't do it for kudos. I did it because I loved him and he needed help.
