Is it Norway or Denmark? They seem to have a good system for social services like medical care unemployment and pension. Is that right? High taxes perhaps but everything is taken care of. I like that .

Have always heard Switzerland gets high marks too, for all around good lifestyle. Japan also.

There must be something about America that makes you want to stay here and caravans of people risking all to get in.

good question ... people are risking their lives to get into the US all the time, from all over the world.

'What is the best country to live besides Australia?'

The one yer from
..or p;haps the one you're used to....

I've lived in several different countries , I don't live in the one I was born and raised in, but I prefer this one for overall quality of life to where I'm from...

I'd prefer to live in New Zealand compared to this one..they say it's like the Uk was 30 years ago..I'd like that!! :giggle:

I guess what is the best nation to live in, depends on who you are. Unfortunately, I haven't found any nation , which wants to support me, as well as I wish. So how much cash you have really is going to determine how well you enjoy living there. And while supposedly these things shouldn't matter, religion and race are factors. And it would be nice to speak your new home's language.

Depends entirely on one's definition of "best". Defining the attributes that are most important to you.

I've been to Australia. Lovely country. Lovely people. But I certainly wouldn't want to live there.
