What is the best/most useful thing you own?

Every man should own at least one good medium sized pocketknife and I have carried a great one for over 25 years. It is a constant companion and a real workhorse who is always ready to take on any task. The poor thing is starting to look a little old these days. Kind of like me.

All i can think of right now would be my heated mattress pad, w/out it I would freeze and not sleep very well.
And, sleep is very important to me..

I've never heard of 3-finger mitts. What's the advantage? Warmer?

Mitts are warmer than gloves generally but mitts don't allow you to use your finger but with this hybred between a glove and mitt you have some dexterity for your thumb and fore finger but the rest of you hand keeps toasty in the glove part. You don't have to take your mitt off to use most tools etc.

My cousin has one of those, and she's always texting me, and telling/showing me all these yummy things she's made in hers. She raves about it.

First thing that comes to mind is my wood burning stove. My household gas furnace is fine, but in the bitter cold my part of the country is experiencing, a wood fire is not only a morale booster it could be a life saver in a grid down scenario.
A couple weeks from now something else will probably seem more useful.

I don't have an instant pot. Is it really that great?
I just cook for myself but like chicken soups and beef pot roasts.
Ihave trouble getting CHOICE beef here, but when I do, I want to make the most of it!
Just wondering if it's something I should think about! Thanks.

Too many to list. All of the appliances that make our lives much easier. Food that is readily available from a grocery store. WATER! A tub to take warm baths. A roof over our heads. And the list goes on.

Well besides my glasses so I can see and an upper denture so I can chew I'll say my cell phone. It's my calendar/scheduler, calculator, MP3 player for my music collection, the means by which I order Uber and Lyft rides, which can only be done from my phone. It's where I play my word and other games, record something for further reference, use the Shazam app to tell me the name (and artist) of an unfamiliar song I'd like to purchase, check prayer times, get news, market and weather updates, message friends and family, keep some of my passwords and receive access codes for my accounts (which cannot be done on any other device).

I also have a pedometer, a note pad that syncs across devices and my photo albums. I can access iDrive, the app for storing digital copies of important documents. I have Cash App to receive or send money instantly. I could stream T.V. shows on it if I chose but I usually don't. Oh yeah..and I make calls on it. I no longer have a landline.

My little step stools. I have one in every place that has a high shelf.. They are sturdy and fold up almost flat,
also very long handled tongs.
I use them for everything but what they were made for.
I retrieve things behind the freezers, under chairs, in the back of cabinets and I can put a rag on the end to clean behind the TV, and I've used them to straighten out the valance on my windows after I've washed and rehung them.

Yes, Gaer, it is that great IMHO. Prep is easy and cook time is reduced from hours to minutes by virtue of the fact that foods are pressure cooked. You can take less expensive cuts of meat (e.g., chuck, round, etc.) and turn them into top-shelf, roast dinners with meat that melts in your mouth. There are a lot of Instant Pot recipes online that can give you an idea of how easy it is to use. With use one tends to customize and there are now packets of spices and sauce mixes you can use. Soups (e.g., beef vegetable, union, chicken, etc.) are easily and quickly made.
