Seems to be "the latest thing""....

I don't know what it's called and how to use it..

Can someone explain, please.......if possible?🤔

Can you post a picture?

I think what you are talking about is a mark that can be scanned...and that way the mail can be tracked for their internal statistics.

Oh, you know, how many of pieces of mail is St. Louis receiving daily? So they can know how many resources to apply to different areas.

QR code is short for 'quick response' code. It's a square-shaped black-and-white symbol that is scanned with a smartphone or laser to learn more about a product or service. These encrypted squares can hold content, links, coupons, event details, and other information that users want to see.

Its very much the same as the "Bar Code" we've become familiar with - only for a different device. In some cases, I think people can scan it with their phones and it links to a website for more info. I don't subscribe to that.

I just learned that thing makes it easier to return a product you purchased online. As soon as you take a photo of it with your phone, your refund is automatically credited.

I thought it was yet another way for them to advertise and promote more stuff that places want to sell you,

but I have not known for certain, all that it might entail.
Such as possibly, for them to gather statistics used for marketing.

If it has some other usefulness other than marketing, particularly anything that the consumer might actually benefit from (not just coupons or other "offers")
then, I will be very glad to learn about that, by following this thread.

Yes, T Y, that sounds like it.
So, if I scan w/smartph....it goes to the co. that sent?
What info can they get from my pH?
See, I'm not really a techi!🙄

I didn’t realize there are QR code on stamps in the UK. I‘ve never seen them in Canada yet.
