What is the Most Important Thing to You Among all the Unimportant Things?

Not to be confusing. . . A lot of stuff we worry about or obsess over are not really that important. Yet, they still are, right? Some things are hard to let go of. We hate to admit some things, but our lives are just not complete without them. Don't worry, you're among friends here. For me, I am constantly bothered by having such few listeners to my music. I should not expect so much, I don't really need the attention. Just being honest. By the way. . .

I have been making music on my home studio for about 20 years. I play guitar so I have a midi pickup. I think that every person who puts their "art" online for others to share with feels like they wish more people would comment on their "labor of love". But, there are millions of others doing the same thing. The playing field is rather
large. :)

You're spot on about everything you said. I know I'm not going to be a star because of a number of things, but love to do it, but only if there is someone to listen. I'd love it if I could gather a small core group who are return listeners. Let me know if you want me to do a mix on one of your guitar tracks. You could post the file on Google Drive. I would set up a royalty split just in case it made money.

Keeping the battery charged up on the Harley. I've only had this bike a few months and, being an old man, sometimes I forget to plug in the charger, and sometimes I can't remember if I did or didn't and have to go out to the garage and check. I try to ride at least once a week, but the weather has turned really cold here in Central Florida (highs in the low to mid 60s) so too cold to ride for a few days.

p.s. the music I love best is the sound of the engine at full song when I can crank it up thru the gears...

I obsess over the door mat in front of my door being straight. I am always fixing it.
Same thing I do, bending over to rearrange the inside entry rug keeps me more agile, or so I tell myself.
Also, getting out of my chair to align the curtains, knickknacks on my end tables, anything that's tilted funny....better to straighten it up than to let my eyes roam to it all evening. Then, time to relax.

Closing the lid before I flush.
And here I thought lifting the seat itself was unforgivably important
At least it is to somebody here in 'our' home, even though my aim is pretty good.....most times

At present, I'm working on the putting of the seat back down procedure
(getting weary of all that screaming)

It is a great feeling, and sound. Unless your alternator is bad, there's really no reason to be charging it. Mine sits all winter, and fires right up in the spring. I do disconnect the battery for hibernation.

Housework. Keeping a tidy home seems key to my lonely lifestyle. One time, I let dishes pile up in the kitchen, and that was the day the gossipy plumber showed up.

When I lived in a 1-room house, I made my bed every day for 2 years. One day I didn't make the bed. Of course that was when my major secret crush (a haulage man) came to pick something up.

I long to live in an adult version of the Skinner air crib. It would clean itself, and I could spend my life thinking about important things.

I like a swept floor, we have dogs, I like plants watered or spritzed, and just a neat clean apartment. Like you, I go nuts cleaning my clean apartment when expecting company!
