A Clockwork Orange walked out after a long talk with the manager I did manage a refund for it. Horrible show.
I read the book and that was kind of interesting because the book had it's own vocabulary and it had an extensive glossary of made up terms in the back of the book.

"In 2005, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess was included on Time magazine's list of the 100 best English-language novels written since 1923,[4] and it was named by Modern Library and its readers as one of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century.[5] The original manuscript of the book has been kept at McMaster University's William Ready Division of Archives and Research Collections in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada since the institution purchased the documents in 1971.[6] It is considered one of the most influential dystopian books."

Publishers in America felt that American readers would never believe it and so Chapter 21 was omitted from the American Edition of the book. The Chapter showed how Alex, the main character, changes his life around and becomes a better citizen.

"The film adaptation, directed by Stanley Kubrick, is based on the American edition of the book, and is considered to be "badly flawed" by Burgess."

I only watch movies that get a 7 or higher rating on IMDB. That being said, there are quite a few over-rated movies that I got nothing out of watching. It depends on what interests you and sometimes what mood you're in.

I've watched movies and hated them years ago but later in life thought they were very good.

You're not always the intended audience.

Dumb and Dumber was dumb and just got dumber and a friend of mine said that's what made it good. Whatever...can't say the title doesn't warn you.

The kids were using Russian language words as slang.

Being John Malkovich didn't work at all for me. The only movie I can ever recall turning off before it was over. I'm sure there's some out there that thought it was genius - just not me!
I've watched it a few times. I marvel at the creativity of the storytelling. It's way out there.
The writer of it is the same guy who wrote adaptation and eternal sunshine of the spotless mind which I also enjoyed.

When someone tells me about a terrible movie, it's like a challenge to me; now I have to watch it.
Can say I've found some good in almost every movie I've ever watched.
One exception would be 'Joe Versus the Volcano'.
That's 102 minutes I'll never get Back.

'No such thing as a Bad Movie, Some's Just Better Than Others...'

Two come to mind
Eegah, 1962 Horror Movie. Often voted one of the worse films of all time.
Watchable purely to see how bad it can actually get. I tell you, it gets worse as it goes along.

Jacques Tati's Parade. His final film
Really rather not up to scratch.
Slapstick, mime, circus acts, acrobatics, audience participation.

I don't like movies that start out looking like they're going to be really good and then the story takes a far left turn into something stupid.
Two movies come to mind like that...
The Green Mile
From Dusk To Dawn
Both had good acting but WTF endings.

The Tooth Fairy! When my grandson was much younger we sat together and watched this film. He absolutely loved it so I guess it was worth watching for that reason alone.
