What is this world coming to !!

Law and order is always a big issue leading up to elections. This site makes it sound like you will be raped or murdered before you even get to the front desk of a hospital. I do not want to minimize the issue of criminal behavior, but there were 32.6 million hospital admissions, and about 2-3,000 incidents per year.

Reminds me when I was about 27, the news reported a caretaker was wanted in questioning of three females who had brain damage at a facility were all pregnant.

They weren't able to give consent due to reduced mental ability, THEN they learned of other females he'd forced himself on. I was shocked people would do such, now, it's common.
 
You see a few years ago, they shut down a lot of mental hospitals. The government said that the crazies will become good citizens by joining the rest of us in society. Actually, the government wanted to save money but they never admit that. They just always say it's to make society a better place for all of us.

So now, we can all "enjoy" life in the brave new world. Apparently, the US has had 200 mass shootings this year and this year is only 30% finished. We still have another 70 % to "enjoy." Perhaps Wally Mart and Costco need to start selling bullet-proof vests? They could start a new style!

There is really something wrong with this kind of thinking but who am I to "blow against the wind?"

We were just talking about this today .. after witnessing a person in the cemetery we were visiting, who very obviously required mental health assistance.

I don't know what the answer is, but there don't seem to be enough facilities for those who truly need help.
 
I still think that the Victorians had the best ideas, they
put repeat offenders and sex offenders into very large
"Mental Institutions"!

Prison doesn't work any more, the young come out
strutting and laughing, nobody came out of a Mental
Hospital laughing and strutting, they didn't want others
to know where they had been.

Our NHS/Governments in the past sold off all the asylums,
they were all in scenic locations, to calm the nerves etc., so
they were easy to sell for large sums, now they don't know
how to control crime and/or criminals.

I was told this by an old man when I was in my 20s, about
the asylums and criminals.

Neither have I rose…..but I’ve always been the age , and mental state , to have protected myself
it happens all over , I know friends , that that been abused by having dental treatment ….
 
Your right Rose65: the media exaggerates far too much. It has come to my attention recently that the media is in competition for viewers with other media outlets. It's all about the number of viewers. More viewers, more money. That is why we get these really "dumb" stories a lot of the times.
