What is your #1 downside of getting older Other than pain/ill health?

Diminished dreams, half of what I'd like to achieve would take me into my mid nineties or beyond and I am not sure I have the wherewithal to accomplish them all. Per chance that is one reason we go through mid-life crisis?

went up to the base today, was in the coffee shop, a pilot said John why don't you come outside in fifteen minutes and watch me work, his pay toy is an F-35, he slowed to a crawl then went straight up, came straight down,then leaveled off, an amazing plane, and pilot, I was thinkng the whole time , I wish I could take that kind of G-Force, At 75, I do my walk everyday, and do the best I can, that all you can do folks , the best you can

The realization like some others here that my love life is probably in my rear view mirror. Even though I ended my last marriage because of him cheating I would have liked to have a partner during my senior years.

A few days ago I received a card from my second ex husband who’s the father of my kids telling me that he has always loved me and still does. It made me feel good. He’s going through a hard time taking care of his wife with dementia.

Because I am an extrovert I really had no choice but to stay active after my marriage ended because I need people and socialization. I have made 5 new friends in addition to my old ones which has helped because I have more free time than when I was married.
