Saratogaās one of my fave placesThe turning point battles of the American Revolutionary War. If you don't know, the town of Saratoga in 1777 is now the area between Stillwater and Schuylerville. Saratoga was re-named Schuylerville after the Revolutionary War hero, Gen. Philip Schuyler. Saratoga was then given to a city about 15 miles west of it - modern day Saratoga Springs.
