What is your favourite Christmas Movie you watch every year?

Many fans of "A Christmas Story" don't seem to know about the other "Ralphie" tales.

Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss (Full Movie)

The Star Crossed Romance of Josephine Cosnowski (Full Movie)

Non Religious: Miracle on 34th Street. If animation is allowed I will pick Prep and Landing, it’s a hoot.

Religious: There was a movie years ago that depicted the lives of Joseph, Mary and the birth of Jesus. Unlike most of the movies this one showed that them as real Jews living real lives in real communities under Roman rule. Not the overly pious, syrupy sweet, everybody has a halo stuff we usually see depicted. I have never seen it broadcast again.

I like the George C Scott Christmas Carol (I might be alone on this) and I also like It's a Wonderful Life. And, for a little Christmas action, the original Die Hard.

Welcome to the party, pal!

How can I choose a fave - there are so many good holiday shows. In no particular order:

Any version of "A Christmas Carol"
"A Christmas Story" (1983)
"The Bishop's Wife" (1947)
"Remember the Night" (1940)
"Miracle on 34th Street" (1947)
"It's a Wonderful Life" (1946)
"White Christmas" (1954)
"A Child's Christmas in Wales" (1987)
"A Christmas Memory" (1997)
"Holiday Inn" (1942- although it doesn't deal with Christmas only at the beginning and end)
Almost any animated feature.

Muppet's Christmas Carol is also our favorite!! Especially the one without the long song in the middle. Apparently it is THE movie that best represents the Dicken's book. Otherwise, I like to "find" any other holiday film by happy accident and enjoy.

Along with Remember the Night, another good Stanwyck Christmas film is Christmas in Connecticut (1945), a Christmas romantic comedy, with a nice turn by Sydney Greenstreet. Great cast. charming story.

Not a movie but I watch the X-Files episode of "How the Ghosts Stole Christmas". Ed Asner and Lilly Tomlin are the guest stars. I always enjoyed the X File episodes that had a syrupy sentimental feel to them.

In no particular order:

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966)
A Christmas Story (1983)
Christmas in Connecticut (1945)
Love Actually (2003)
Krampus (2015)
Violent Night (2022)
The Shop Around the Corner (1940)
It Happened on Fifth Ave (1947)
