Table protector from recycled grocery bags. Maybe I have too much time on my hands?
Thanks really beautiful.
How long did it take to make?
Is the pedestal part of the rig to thread them through?

Here are a couple of flower paintings in watercolour . A purple Iris , yellow rosesIMG_8077.jpegIMG_8075.jpeg
A wooden rocking dog with metal collar made from popular wood and In the background is an old fashion Santa done in spalted maple wood with relief carving and pyrography with colour stain. IMG_0181.jpeg
This is one of my MIL’s blankets she makes. IMG_8269.jpegI can’t find a picture of my needlepoint but I’ll try and find it tomorrow. My pills kicking in. Goodnight šŸŒ™ āļø

You are very talented Patty. Everything is beautiful.

I’ve never tried making sourdough before but have tried it many times. That sounds like fun.
As you probably know, traditionally sourdough "starter" is simply a bit (golfball or duck-egg size) from the recently made sour dough. Many years ago, just before I moved out to where I live now, a friend of ours from out here was visiting us in Richmond (near Vancouver).

She had brought with her a moist ball, some sourdough starter. She'd been given it by a rural woman who told her it was the product of sourdough bread making by the women in her family. A starter wad had been retained successively from thousands of loaf-baking chores, and passed on through a century more or less.

It's probably sad to say that work was more like a hobby, but it filled my day and I so enjoyed it. Last May we called it a day over an insurance issue, so now I fill my day creatively.
I wish my hobby was dusting!
Since retirement I share domestic duties, some of which are vacuuming and dusting, I agree Pepper, not exactly exciting hobbies. I share the cooking too, we take it in turns to cook.
My wife's love of dressmaking has given us a wardrobe of clothes. At our previous address she had to make do with a spare bedroom to use as a workplace for her sewing. Here, at a much larger place, I treated her to a purpose made cabin, how she loves it.

We have a passion for vintage, how we love events like The Goodwood Revival and Twinwood. Vintage events encompass many aspects, here you see us at a heritage railway, it was a 1930's/40's themed event.

Our love of vintage takes in the era's music, trad jazz, big band and all that, we have an original Wurlitzer jukebox full of such music.
Our vintage car is good fun too, it's an MG, and dressing the part makes it that bit special.

When my wife is busy in her cabin, I enjoy writing, script writing that is, like this.

One of the best benefits of our love of vintage, dance and all the it entails is that we are not alone. We have made so many friends along the way, I feel so blessed to enjoy their company.

You wouldn't think there was time for work, but if ever the phone call comes in................

Thank you for that. I’m celiac and I’ve read many times that sour dough bread isn’t as glutinous as regular bread so I’d love to check it out someday.

Some of my hobbies are seasonal like gardening & canning. In the winter I find more time to crochet, do cross-stitch & read. No matter the season I like to cook, listen to music, take care of pets & watch the wild critters.
