What is your living arrangement?

I live in a small flat( 56qm)-livingroom,bedroom,kitchen,bathroom and balcony.Only three stairs to get into the house,5 other families live here,as
well.
We've got lot's of forests, rivers and little lakes around.
My place of living is in North-Rhine-Westphalia( Germany)

I live across the PA boarder from "Ruth n Jersey". It's woods, and more woods. Strangely, when I'm going to sleep, I think of the Indians, who probably called this place home. Don't know why. When I bought my place, you couldn't buy gas after 10 PM. Now, there building one big box store after another. And everywhere you look, they are building a hospital or big doctor complex. Yet, I love my woodsy little acre and a third. I love seeing the deer, bears and other animals.

In 2012,we sold our big house on 11 acres and because we weren`t able to find anything we liked, decided to rent until something came up-or until we decided to buy the house we are renting, which was (and still is) an option. It`s a 3/2 on 3.25 acres. The only reason we weren`t ready to just outright buy it in the first place is that it is about a mile out on a dirt road. When we moved out here,we were in a drought. Now it hasn`t stopped raining for a couple of months. The road is a mess-always had big potholes but it`s way worse now. And now, foot deep gulleys and huge patches of mud. I always assumed this was a private road but just found out that the County is supposed to maintain it. Still,we don`t want to buy it. Tired of my car always being either dirty or muddy. Landlord says the "group" (house is owned by a group of real estate investors) wants to sell so I guess by summer we will be buying something and moving.

I hear you on the dirt road. We live about 3/4 mile off the main highway on a dirt/gravel road, and keeping the cars clean is a constant job. However, that is just about the Only drawback to our place. The county does a pretty good job of keeping the road graded, and they are quick to respond with some gravel if a soft spot develops, and there are 3 or 4 of us who have tractors and the needed implements to keep it it fairly good shape between the times the county comes by. Besides, its kind of fun to spend a couple of hours playing with the tractor every few weeks.

We are currently in a large house in the suburbs, which I hate, but the neighborhood is really nice - the houses are pretty much all different, the lots are large and it is close to husband's work. However, it is all getting to be too much for me and I hate that I have to get in my car to go anywhere! We will be moving sometime during the year - heading north to a smaller place and more urban environment. Wish we could go back to one of the former small town living we had along the way but cannot afford it. Excited about the coming change though!

I have "the standard" 2 BR, one and one-half bath condo, tiny kitchen and a living/dining room combo; small deck. The stairs aren't a problem. I have a designated parking space and each condo has an extra, un-numbered space for any guests. Central A/C.

It's small condo-community, surrounded by tall pines, having some short trails good for dog-walking but only 2/3 mile from a main road in one direction with gas stations, a few small restaurants, drugstore, grocery store, my doctor's office, a walk-in clinic and a sports bar.
