What Is Your Reaction When You're at the Doctor and Blood is Drawn for Testing?

My reaction is to watch every move they make. Make sure they use a NEW needle out of a sealed package.

I just had a blood draw this morning. The 60 seconds for the actual procedure was a totally painless non-event. The 15 minutes of paperwork required to get it done . . . agonizing! :aargh:

I don't like needles, never have. In my earlier days I would pass out. I began giving a warning to the person drawing blood about my possible reaction. Most didn't believe me until I hit the floor. Most of the time they have to stick me several times and after the 2nd time I usually pass out. Now days I give them one chance and then I leave regardless of the outcome. We have one testing facility that has great people drawing blood. They are the only ones I go to anymore.

I really don't mind...I too, like to watch the process just to see how well my blood's whizzing about my body.

...but it's a bit demoralising when the doctor says ''Just a little prick''. That doesn't help my self-esteem at ALL.
