What is your sexual preference?

But females over 60 aren't totally correct in not answering a question that only relates to younger women??

The NHS are just giving a list of questions for everyone to answer - the 'pushing an idelology' is just your perception

I doubt the NHS have caused any situation - other than one grandstanding drama llama I doubt anyone else is very bothered.
"But females over 60 aren't totally correct in not answering a question that only relates to younger women??"
The question doesn't only relate to younger women - the Donor Service want males too answer it also.

"I doubt the NHS have caused any situation "
They have by forcing males to answer a question which has nothing to do with them.

Actually it isn't just my perception. If you are interested have a read at this link.

Imported gender ideology is damaging the NHS - Sex Matters

How many transgenders are there? Almost nobody, that's who, yet we've changed language and annoyed most people. This pandering must stop. The overwhelming majority don't want it. Live with it, trans folks, as long as no one hurts or discriminates against you. Too much hassle over this, too much, and it's making too many people ANGRY. Not me, but I can understand it. Not worth it, not.

You seem to have missed my point - because the question does only relate to younger women. Women over 60 can't be pregnant any more than men can.
Yet they have answered this question without the grandstanding drama this guy did.

I meant there is no situation with blood donating - nobody except this one grandstanding drama llama is making a fuss about it.

It demands women over 60 answer it too and they cannot get pregnant either, only younger women can.
Wrong again. A friend of mine's mother was 65 at his birth. He was quite sad when she died in his 20s, of old age.

What is sad is people having meltdowns (drama llamas) because someone else has personally chosen to not give blood.

Woke began, I believe in our black American community, as meaning awake to injustice. That's all. That's all it meant, in the beginning. Noble, really, IMO. "Don't call me the N word" "Okay, that makes sense." Where it went may go to silly lengths, but even sillier, IMO, is the outrage against it.
Well said. The term "woke" has been weaponized by the the reactionary media, for the purpose of generating fear, hate and outrage.

sorry I didn't miss your point - I'm basing my response on the fact that ONLY females can become pregnant. Males cannot. Quite simple.

The only ones making a fuss is the NHS Blood Donor Service, the service which instigated this by enforcing men to indicate they are not pregnant. If they had not enforced this there would have been no problem whatsoever and the chap would have gone on donating for goodness knows how long.

yes you did because actually No, ONLY women under 60 can become pregnant Older women cannot. Quite simple

Yet they answer the question without drama

This guy seems only one making a fuss- everyone else is just ticking a box, even if answer is obvious, and getting on with it.

Ive hijacked thread enough on this - you can continue extolling the virtues of this attention seeking drama llama if you want.

I'm leaving it alone now.

Sorry if you feel like that and cannot accept that I am in no way extolling any virtues of someone who stands up for what he believes in. There are times in life when even the little man won't kowtow to giant organisations - this is one of them & I was simply highlighting it.

And I'm not starting an argument but you're incorrect about only women under 60 being able to become pregnant (this actually was nothing to do with the situation but you introduced it)..."While stories about women giving birth in their 50s, 60s, and even 70s make for good headlines, these pregnancies are usually accomplished with donor eggs and in vitro fertilization (IVF). There is no set oldest age when you can get pregnant naturally, but fertility starts to decline as you age."

Thanks for your input...........(y)

There is no set age - as in menopause varies between women - I gave 60 as it would be safely well over upper limit - nobody falls pregnant naturally beyond that.

Basic biology.

Naturally or not a woman can still become pregnant over 60 and comes under the umbrella of what I initially posted about...that ONLY women can be pregnant. Thus the man was correct in his action : wanting to donate but being refused because he would not accepting that he could be pregnant.

if you say so - I think he was being attention seeking grand stander over nothing.

But so I've said already

so feel free to have last word if you want to say again what a hero he was.

It's simply my opinion as is yours. It's called a debate.

And it isn't about having any last word because I don't believe he is any kind of hero or attention seeker....just a man standing up for what he believes is correct. I certainly would and I presume you also.

I never cease to be amazed at the number of gender designation or preferred pronouns squares that I’m asked to tick off, just to join a website! Still, there are never any for anthropomorphic male fox. It’s discriminatory, I tell ‘ya! 😸

And I have found the following to be true in my experience…

Just tick ' I don't want to answer' if you don't want to answer.
That isn't any fun. I rather say something that might cause someone to think about what s/he thinks. I am in a bit of shock about our sexuality getting so much attention. I am good with people's sex lives being their own business and conforming to a code of dress and conduct when in public. Be discrete.

However, my daughter is very involved with the gay community. Almost every weekend she is running off to a gay convention somewhere on the west coast. The people attending flaunt their stuff as they perform in the shows. She is really enjoying this. I am very happy she found something she enjoys so much. And I hope she wins the competition to be queen this year even though I don't like it when the weather is bad and she is driving long distances and as queen she would be committed to making an appearance. Whatever, it makes her happy and doesn't hurt anyone. I am proud of her awareness and willingness to get involved and the charity work these people do.

I think they are very good people as being persecuted has made them more sensitive to the emotional and physical well-being of others. That is a whole lot better than being an insensitive, narrow-minded, and intolerant jerk.

Seriously we have to register to participate in the Senior Meals and that means filling out a National Aging Program Information Systems (NAPIS) Registration Form. My grandmother, the real Vida May, might go into a state of shock if she were aware of this interest in our sex lives.

It begins with "Please describe your gender in any way you prefer.
What is your gender? Are you transgender? Please describe your sexual orientation or sexual identity in anyway you want". "How do you describe your sexual orientation or gender identity"

Our choices are
Same-gender loving
Same-sex loving
Lesbian
Gay

Straight
Pansexual

 How about I am attracted to good-looking and charming male robots with top-of-the-line AI and perfectly programmed to please me, with none of those disgusting or irritating things humans do? I don't have to cook for him, or clean up after him, because he does all of that and the only things he says to me are the things I want to hear. What sexual orientation does that make me? 😘

Or my grandmother might say, "To each, his own said the lady as she kissed the cow".

Oh, and I would have been fired if I ever used your expression above.
I know. In my grandmother's day it was a nice way of saying it took some children longer to learn something. Like many people in my generation I could not learn to read by the see-and-say method and if my school teacher grandmother had not taught me phonics I would not be able to read so I come to this word "retarded" in different ways. Mostly my grandmother was a dedicated teacher and she focused on what children could do well, even if the child had trouble learning. So I associated "retarded" with how much she cared and I was shocked when someone reacted very badly to my use of the word.
