What is your typical day like

I do Parts of various tasks.... rather than trying to struggle to be plowing thru doing one entire larger task.
I don't need to complete something to feel good about doing it. Making some progress on it, instead it's enough.

It's a lot better for me, that way.

I try to do some usual repeated routines, but I often vary them.

I set small goals, sometimes just for the hour or for a few hours, at a time.

Oh wow, what a question. Most of my days are fairly eclectic...

Take yesterday... I sold a piece of furniture online, the people came to collect so I helped them move it out to their car, then when they left I dragged another piece of new furniture into place in the hall by myself..

I also took delivery of a new glass garden table which was scratched and so I had to send time talking to customer service online to get my money refunded..
Washed windows inside and out...
I also hung newly washed curtians on new rails ..

then today... I did a whole pile of hedge and shrub trimming... see the pictures here... How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

I raked up all the leaves, then put ant powder down where I saw some ant hills on the lawn...

I changed the bedding... ..I cooked dinner, washed up.. vacc'd... ... ..I did some online banking.... I took photos of items to sell on Ebay... I did a lot more as well... every day is different...

I'm 70 years old...

Shower, get ready 5-6 AM, make bed, then breakfast, then check SF.
Start tackling my "to do" list I made the night before, which could be a little or a lot - such as washing clothes, cleaning the house, paying bills.
Lunch
Finish whatever is on the list. If there's nothing much on the list, I might just do something fun (Dollar Tree, take a drive, put on a movie, etc.)
At different times, I take breaks and log in/out of SF.
In the evening, supper around 5 PM; evening news.
After that, I sort of wind down for the day. Might call someone or email them; may or may not check SF anymore after 7 PM.

Well I have many, many hobbies and hop from one to the other, and feel guilty as I don't complete much, but then I am learning new art techniques/quilting techniques. :)

Hi hollydolly, I looked at your property and I have to say I wish I lived where you lived. I know it's hard work as you are doing the upkeep yourself but we only have a balcony being in a condo, no trees or hedges there. It would be so nice to have a garden. However, I didn't want to live in a condo ground floor suite. We had rented garden apartments in our younger days - we had problems with mold, insects and I was worried someone could smash our patio door windows and break in.

The squirrels here can be a pita. I'm about to start
trapping them and hauling them 100 miles out of town.
