What items are in your vehicle trunk right now?

Tis The Season
My car trunk is due for a cleaning up.

Right now are jumper cables, tool kit,
rubber boots, roll of paper towels, some
rags, two extra rubber mats for the front
floor seats, and some misc junk that does
not need to be there. Also two small blankets
and a pair of jeans lol. I happen to look just
yesterday, but this week will clean it out.

Apart from a plastic tray to protect the carpet, the 'Boot' as we say in the UK is empty. There is a compartment under it holding the spare wheel and jack.

The word "boot" goes back to 18th century horse-drawn carriages where the coachman sat on a chest, which was used to store, among other things, his boots. This storage space came to be termed as the "boot locker", which soon became the "boot".

Don't have jumper cables. Have a lithium jumper battery.
Does not require another vehicle to jump a dead battery.
Used it many times, although not on my vehicle. Just to help others.

Hand tools for emergencies and special tools required by Volkswagen for general maintenance.
Portable floodlight in case of night time requirements.

Couple of rags and a towel ...
Roll of paper towels ... and roll of TP because ya never know ... might get a runny nose or something.

Everything is kept orderly in a clothes basket ...

Although the Jeep doesn't have a trunk, there's stuff stashed all over.
Couldn't tell ya everything in the Jeep ... just more stuff for Jeepin'.

Three baskets side by side for groceries (I don't use bags - just load the groceries from the cart to the baskets and bring the baskets in the house to unload.) Two remain empty, one contains a complete change of clothes for me plus a heavy sweatshirt and light sweater. Also have a sweat jacket, diapers and wipes for TGS, a lightweight blanket, and some cloth bags.

I nestle fragile groceries like bread & eggs in the basket with the clothes.

No real trunk - all of this is kept in the back of my small SUV.

@ Naturally, so very clean, It would behoove me to keep my car that
clean and organized ;)

Extra thrifted bowls for the ferals, wrapped up. I think a wall planter, an umbrella and a sweater I need to wash. Also some irritating paperwork we get at mandatory work meetings.

what do we keep in our glove compartments in our vehicles?

I am mostly semi organized overall, some things a lot organized.
Anyway in my glove box, is my car owners manual. Some napkins,
a straw or two, flashlight, some medical information, pen and note
pad, proof of my insurance, and some granola bar snacks, and a
lint roller.

Currently, 4 winter tires on rims, wrapped in plastic bags, which will go to the Wife's daughter's garage for summer storage. Tool kit, rags, battery booster cables, engine fluids, and a jug of summer windshield washer fluid. Street guide map book for all of the cities and towns in Southern Ontario. Small first aid kit, and window breaker tool, and a lock out kit to open car doors in an emergency. Jimb.
