What Kind of Gift Would You Buy?

I ordered it from Amazon and it arrived on Saturday. I also ordered an ice cream birthday cake for her.

What’s nice with the 2 of us together is that she is 5 feet 6 inches tall and I an 5 feet 11 inches tall. We go together pretty good.

Last Friday, she had an appointment with her cancer doctor and she asked if I would go with her, so I told her sure. The first thing the nurse does when she took her back to the doctor’s office was to weigh her. She weighed 128 pounds. I would have guessed more and been wrong. I weigh 166 pounds.

Her appointment went well. She has another CAT scan done in 6 months followed by a doctor’s visit. She also has her last radiation treatment on Monday. It really takes her down and tires her out.
 

I had her birthday all planned on Saturday. I should have opened the box from Amazon and checked everything before wrapping. She opened the gift and wouldn’t you know it, the screen is cracked. I returned it today and hopefully I will get another in a few days.

The birthday ice cream cake did well and I asked my neighbor to make some macaroni salad and we grilled some burgers on the outside grill and added a few other things to the luncheon like potato chips. We had some adult beverages and pop also. All of that went well.

The grandson brought his girlfriend for his grandmother to meet. She liked his girlfriend. He asked me what I thought of her. I told him he had good taste. She is cute and I think she is a bit brainy.
