What Kind of Socks/Stockings Do You Like to Wear?

I guess I like the shorty kind that come above the ankles a bit and since that's all they seem to sell anymore. Took awhile to get used to them. I used to like knee highs and have some of the nylon/stocking type still but don't wear them much. I also wear the ones that are the height of the shoe in the summer. That is unless I wear sandals then I don't wear any~;)




What Kind of Socks/Stockings Do You Like to Wear?
 

I like the weird socks they sell at book stores and novelty shops, the ones with cartoon characters, animals, including dinosaurs, witty sayings, etc. OTJ, I wear heavy wool socks under my work boots. They're warm in winter, cool in summer. I wear 100% merino wool underwear, as well. Expensive as heck, but worth it, when you work outside.

I've never had any of the weird socks but if someone bought them for me I might wear them...lol Didn't know wool socks would be cool in Summer, that'a a new one on me~ :)
 

I wear the basic men's 'crew socks'. I do have some of those low cut sport ones, but I'm outdoors a lot and whenever I walked in high grass or weeds, I'd get things like foxtails, briars or other weed debris on my ankles or in my sneakers, so I just stick with the crew height that comes over the ankle. Haven't really worn knee highs since my catholic school days in grade school.
 
I only wear socks in the winter, and they're almost all pastel colours like these...

I don't wear socks except for the no-show ones which I use with sneaker type shoes. I can't remember a brand name, but they have to be thicker than the really thin ones and with a little rubbery thingy at the heel. I never have trouble with them slipping off my foot with those types.
 
I wear over the ankle type socks. Years ago all I wore around the yard were flip flops. I developed planter fasciitis and the heel pain was terrible. Now I wear my socks and good sneakers with support even in the house. I haven't had a problem since.

Cool. I think that's the same I wear most of the time before the summer, too. I don't blame you for not wanting debris on your ankles or tennis shoes.

Thanks for that tip about the rubber thingy; mine often are slipping on my foot.

I'm not crazy about wearing socks either~Yes, diabetics need foot protection, I've been told, too, to wear socks at all times...but I cheat and take them off at time...lol

I finally broke down and got suma those anklet things
No seeums

In summer

Because that’s when the cargo shorts only happens

Had trouble with ‘em at first

Tore the heels out trying to pull ‘em up

Now, they’re a part of me

...at rodeos, mostly

In the winter I wear knee socks..nice warm ones.

Then I put on a pair of fuzzy socks over those.

I very seldom wear shoes in the house.

In summer I wear anklets....
 
I'm very sensitive, so I wear diabetic socks.

Should I start an underwear thread?
