I don't see the point of spending a arm&leg for designer ones Sue

I wear a pair of prescription glasses that change to a dark lens when light hits them, the brighter the sun, the darker they get . I been wearing them since I acquired Sun poison.
I wear El Cheapos, too, because I am forever leaving them places. Half the known world is strewn with my sunglasses and umbrellas.
^This, I lose a pair just about every week, so, no more pricey sunglasses for me. I've lost quite a few nice umbrellas too, still miss a big beautiful one, that folded down nicely, which I lost on a bus, but, that I will spend an extra few dollars on, but will only buy them at stores like Michael's, Ross or TJMax
If you want a real good umbrella buy one at a golf shop. They are bigger and sturdy.
Do you still use those? I'm thinking of ordering a pair online to clip to my prescription glasses. Any tips what to get or look out for? Can they be uncomfortable or ill-fitting? Thanks for any advice Meanderer.Clip-ons when driving or mowing.

Thanks for your reply....and the chuckles. Much appreciated.Hi SB! Your post made me think of the old joke about the fellow who fell into the lensing machine.....and made a spectacle of himself!
Since that time, I had gotten a new pair of "round" lensed glasses, and couldn't find clip-ons for round lenses. (I remember wanting to look like Warren Buffet). My next pair took a radical turn, with eyecroxx.
They came with 3 magnetic set of lenses that I could easily stick on top of my clear lenses. A yellow tint for glare, a dark green for the Sun, and a blue for electronic screens. A case held the three set of lenses in slots inside foam slots. It was jut too fussy, and light. It was hard to carry around, and I used the sun lenses mostly. The glasses themselves were too light and seemed fragile. they were also fussy to keep clean. They were too much to deal with.
I have returned to normal shaped lens in sturdy frames with clip-ons. I tink any drugstore or pharmacy, along with Walmart has the rotating displays. I have kept my eyecroxx glasses with the sun shade lens for mowing.
On a side not, I do have a pair of those large framed glasses with yellow lenses for glare and night driving, but never seriously wore them. - M
Thanks for the info!Due to irregularities with my irises not closing fast enough. One part of problem is known as photophobia.
So, it's part of my lenses, they change from clear to dark grey as soon as the light increases.
So as my frames changes every two years approximately, I get a new style every time.
