I won;t part with my lucky rabbit's foot, I keep it always in my pocket, but the problem is, I need a huge pocket because the foot is still attached to Thumper. :)

My comic book collection; my Nancy Drew collection; my British rock magazines from the sixties; some Beatles stuff that my mother didn't throw away; my records, LPs & 45s; OT in Hebrew & English that my grandma left me with her signature on each; the mezuzah she bought us in 1953 for our new apartment; and, last but not least, my Ramparts magazines from our Vietnam era.

I left my son's father-in-law in charge of my stuff because he has Respect, not like my son & daughter-in-law who intend to trash it.

I have much more stuff but they don't matter. I sound a bit like my pal deb!

eta--the history books, American & World, that I stole from elementary school.

OOOOH! A Nancy Drew collection! I envy you.

I have a small plastic plaque which was given to me by my first grade teacher. It has been all over the world with me.

I have a few things of my own I've kept, but the biggest thing I have is my mother's old cedar chest. It is full of stuff and I've never been able to bring myself to go through it. I know that in there is memorabilia from my parents' courtship, baby clothes from both me and my sister, etc., and some very old newspapers, among other things. When we were kids, mama used to show us stuff that was in the chest. My sister and I should seriously plan to get together and go through it, because nothing in there will be of any interest to anyone after we are gone.

I also have my mother's prized possession, a very old painted bowl of my grandmother's. It is broken and is in a padded sort of bag/envelope thing. It was the only thing my mother had of her mother, who died when my mother was very young. Mama kept that bowl all those years, broken though it was. Grandma would have died during the 1920s.

I would say me and my husband are Hoarders. I have every card or drawing from my kids and grandkids, and every letter he wrote me when he was in the Navy. I have 2 lamps that were my Mom's favorites. I have all my 45 records from when I was young. I still have the sweater my husband was wearing when we met and I was 15yrs old. I have one of his uniforms from the Navy. My Mom had a tradition of giving her children rings when they turned 16yrs old. I still have mine and carried on the tradition with my children and grandchildren, Of course, I still have hundreds of pictures that I treasure more than anything. I even have the Negligee I wore on my wedding night. Which is over 50yrs old.

As for my husband, He saved everything from when he worked
from papers from when he worked and many other things.Actually too many things to remember.
Oh that was so sweet..I actually got chills reading your list..Thanks for sharing:giggle:

Hanging on the wall in our Florida room is the personalized license plate that My wife had on her red MGB roadster.

Our son's fraternity brothers called her "Mumsy" and that is what is on that license plate. Our son used to love to come home from school and borrow the MG, but he hated the license plate because he would often get razzed about it.
