The last time I bought gas/petrol 2 weeks ago, it was running about $3.79 a gallon. When I passed the convenience store today it had jumped to $4.06.

Unleaded petrol rose by 5 per litre in 2 weeks to £1.40 per litre... $6.30 per gallon.... at the nearer but more expensive petrol stations.. the fuel has risen to £1.49 per litre....The last time I bought gas/petrol 2 weeks ago, it was running about $3.79 a gallon. Exactly. What made the price go up? Greed.
The fuel has risen to £1.49 per litre....of which, no less than 83 pence is tax.at Costco which is the cheapest for fuel in the area.. The war in Ukraine might have something to do with it....maybe. Not sure how much gas we imported from Ukraine, or if we ever did at all, but I'm pretty sure nobody can right now, so maybe the price here is effected in any case. What made the price go up? Greed.
yep everybody in the UK know this..it makes everyone angry... but what can we do ?The fuel has risen to £1.49 per litre....of which, no less than 83 pence is tax.
I've been wondering about the use of strategic reserves. Using them keeps the price down, but what happens when the reserves are largely depleted? I've been waiting for that day. This might be it.There are several reasons why gas prices are climbing again. People are driving more now that Covid is not much of a concern. Many of the refineries along the gulf coast are having problems due to the high heat in that region. Fracking is being "discouraged" by the government. Saudi Arabia has cut its production. The government "strategic reserve" has been substantially depleted. With all these issues, I'm amazed that prices aren't even higher. We'll be lucky to see any decline until Winter.
