What Major or Classic Blockbuster movies have you never seen

I hate romantic slush.....so I was never going to watch it...
I don't blame you one bit, @hollydolly. 😁 There is a wonderful fan edit version of Cameron's movie available online, though, that cuts out all the Jack-and-Rose parts and features the true star: the beautiful, beautiful ship.

Pretty much any movie released in the past 25 years. Hearing loss, or other inability to follow the diction of the actors. Besides, I think it's pretty much a given that movies produced today aren't targeted toward my demographic -- chick flicks might be an exception, but hey -- they're chick flicks.

I've never seen any of the Harry Potter movies. I've never seen the DaVinci code. I've never seen Oppenheimer. I've seen most all of the rest. We went to a 25-year anniversary screening of Titanic and it was just as amazing as the first time we saw it. For us, it wasn't about the romantic nonsense, it was about the anticipation and the amazing special effects when the ship sank. James Cameron was ahead of his time.

The original of 'The Revenant' was called 'Man in the Wilderness' (1971) with Richard Harris playing Hugh Glass the bear victim left for dead. Both were great movies & great acting. I've looked many times for the original but it's hard to find. John Huston played the boat captain.'

'You Got Mail' is another remake, 'The Little Shop Around The Corner' (1940) with Jimmy Stewart & Margaret Sullavan. Liked 'Mail' for the technology that was highlighted, but is dated. Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks do make a cute couple. Seen it after 'Sleepless in Seattle' so it was an unfair comparison.

I wouldn't call either 'Mail' or 'Seattle' a blockbuster, anyway they're not 'The Godfather' I or II. Forget III. it was bad. Like 'Jurrasic Park' I or III. II sucked.

Wizard of oz, only a few scenes
Charlie Chaplin movies
Godfather movies
Exorcist movies
The Jazz Singer, first talkie
Birth of a nation, the oldest classic

And I never will.

Me neither re Harry Potter... never seen one ..or even 5 minutes of one.. whic is amazing really because I live just minutes away from the Harry Potter Studios... and one of the Stars grew up here where i live... It's just never appealed to me

My ex husband had never seen Sound of Music... I often wondered how he'd managed to avoid it, it's shown so many times on TV...:ROFLMAO:

I saw it in the cinema in the 60s.. but it's never been off the Tv since

I saw Star wars about 100 times.

Whe it was released in 1978 I was a Cinema Usherette at the odeon which back then had 3 theatres all showing different films at the same time.. 2 x 1000 seaters, and one 500 seater..

...we had a packed house for that film.. twice a day for 8 weeks... I had to stay right to the very last credit, and curtain closure.. every night

Around about the same time we had Alien showing also for 8 weeks... and in the 3rd theatre we had Anne Hall...

we had queues along the street for up to an hour before we opened the doors every single day
A friend and I were Woody Allen movie fans and went to see Annie Hall. I came out of thevtheater saying that just might win best picture. The next night we went to see Star Wars and I came saying the same thing LOL.

I saw Forest Gump and to this day I don't get the appeal of it.

I own Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail on DVD. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks have good screen chemistry.

Tom Hanks is Graham Norton's favorite guest.

really,? Perhaps our Graham knows something we don't ....:sneaky:

If The Revenant (2015) is considered a major movie, I decided to skip it because I got wind of all the gore in it. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy are both great actors, and I heard that the movie was very well done, but I just am very wary in modern times to subject myself to such violence and gore. They're too good at it!
The most outstanding thing about the movie is how beautiful it looks. Its the most beautifully filmed movie I've ever watched. I don't know how they achieved such crystal clarity. Maybe its where they filmed it.
The story is okay. I don't think the violence was all that shocking.
Its not a movie I'd want to watch again. Mainly because once you know the outcome there's nothing compelling about the story.

Never saw the Barbie movie. I basically love movies and have seen most of the most famous ones. I do think that at this point it is a more or less dead art form, with nothing but superheroes, sequels, cartoons, etc. We thought about going to a movie this weekend but there is absolutely nothing worth seeing at any theater.

Yes. These shitty romantic movies. I don't like them either. Before I married my wife, I had some romantic ideas as a honeymoon in Venice. I'm glad I didn't. My wife had killed me, she hates Venice. I hate it too since some years.

I absolute agree with you about Venice George...overcrowded overpriced, and it stinks... I went there when I worked and lived in Northern Italy...

I went back & forth to Europe, back & forth for years, would stay months or year at a time. Airlines were so cheap, $100. round trip. Kept apartment in NYC sometimes too, @hollydolly

Some are OK, but the ideas/themes used are so lame & repetitive. At Xmas I try to avoid them as much as possible. I think TUBI has every movie ever made of that genre on hand.
